Gu Qijue nodded. "That's normal. In a little over an hour, people, animals, plants, and so on will begin mutating completely, one after another. Then there will be more and more..."

Seventy percent of all living beings on the planet would mutate at random. When that time came, the various war zones would barely be able to look after themselves.

Before long, Gu Qijue finally spotted the target of this hunt.

He was a handsome young man around eighteen or nineteen, not wearing a school uniform but dressed in a white suit.

Several spoiled rich heirs clustered around him as they walked out of the school, chatting and laughing.

Gu Qijue said nothing. In one step, he arrived before him. While Lin Shuyun was still stunned, Gu Qijue grabbed his neck with his left hand and, without another word, dislocated his right arm.

A pig-like scream rang out, leaving everyone present dumbfounded with terror.

Desperate, terrified, and helpless, with his mind still unable to process what was happening, Lin Shuyun's eyes were bloodshot as he screamed himself hoarse.

"Go stop that maniac!"

"You boys, why are you still just standing there?"

Quite a few girls shrieked, urging the boys present to go stop him.

"Fuck, why don't you go yourselves? Damn it, someone who can tear a person's arm out with one hand could slap you self-righteous bitches to death."

Boys immediately snapped back angrily. Not only did they refuse to help, they retreated even farther away.

Ignoring the terrified stares and screams around him, Gu Qijue casually tossed Lin Shuyun onto the ground and said coldly, "I don't care who you are. Today, I'll cripple all four of your limbs!"

After saying that coldly, Gu Qijue stomped on one of Lin Shuyun's knees, crushing it as he screamed like a slaughtered pig.

"Stop!!"

Just as Gu Qijue was about to crush Lin Shuyun's other knee, two school security guards finally rushed over. Their faces changed drastically as they raised their electric batons, preparing to take down this madman.

"Do you know what happens to people who meddle in others' business?"

A terrifying murderous aura erupted from Gu Qijue as his cold, sinister gaze snapped toward the two guards.

"You..."

That single look made both guards feel ice-cold all over. Their charging steps came to an abrupt halt.

"Ah!"

In the instant they hesitated, Gu Qijue raised his foot and stomped down. Lin Shuyun let out a hoarse scream, rolled his eyes back, and finally passed out completely.

"Feels damn good!!"

The thrill of personally tormenting his enemy made a twisted smile appear on Gu Qijue's face.

Despite never awakening a Super Martial ability, he had survived for eight years in the Mutated Apocalypse. His ruthlessness and darkness had long seeped into his bones.

"Hiss!!"

Gu Qijue's twisted nature made the surrounding students shudder.

"Take him down!!"

One of the guards gritted his teeth fiercely and charged forward, swinging his electric baton.

"You're going to die anyway. Dying two hours early is still dying."

A vicious glint flashed through Gu Qijue's eyes. He grabbed the electrified baton with one hand, then drove a punch into the guard's chest. His entire chest caved in, and even the clothes on his back split apart as he flew more than ten meters away like a kite with its string cut.

He hit the ground, dead on the spot.

Even if Gu Qijue did not kill this guard now, he would turn into a monster two hours later.

This could be considered eliminating a monster in advance.

But this was also the apocalypse.

Humanity and morality were worth less than nothing when food was on the line.

The watching students recoiled in terror at the sight.

He had always been solitary. After one term in his freshman year, he had not made any close friends.
