Time seemed to freeze.
His left hand, along with the Infinity Gauntlet, was tightly held by Black Panther. His scythe-wielding right hand was pinned down by Captain America. His feet, one after the other, were frozen to the vibranium floor by Lucy's ice. His brow was under attack from Yutong's psychic force, and even his crotch had suffered Deadpool's treacherous sword strike. The green flames on Hellfire were still spreading over him.
He was being attacked by six of Earth's strongest fighters at once.
Yet Thanos remained like an immovable mountain. He stood rooted in place. Although his purple-sweet-potato-like face was twisted in agony, he did not even let out a groan.
He was already used to this.
No matter how difficult the situation, whether fighting one against ten or one against an entire civilized universe, the body Thanos possessed had long grown accustomed to it all. This was how he had made his way forward, all for the grand, unwavering ideal and pursuit in his heart!
So he could not fall. No one could make him fall!
And so—
Thanos clenched his left hand, which wore the Infinity Gauntlet. As the Reality Stone and Soul Stone flashed with dazzling, wavering light at the same time, a blaze capable of scorching both body and soul erupted from the gauntlet and surged toward those surrounding him.
"Get out of my way!" At Thanos's calm, domineering command, Hellfire and Black Panther, the two closest to the gauntlet, were the first to be swept up by the flames and sent flying. Then came Captain America with his shield, and Deadpool beneath him—both man and sword were directly melted away by half. Even the frost on the floor was melting at a visible rate.
