Looking at his two companions lying heavily wounded on the floor, the fairly handsome Human Torch Aaron's face twisted in fury. "You deserve to die!"

Following the anger in his heart, the flames on his right hand continued to burn and swell, causing the temperature inside the bar to rise steadily.

"You old bastard, so you're a mutant too. Turn completely to ash!" Aaron roared, thrusting his right hand forward. The flames in his hand became an explosive fireball that blasted toward Apocalypse, who still had his back turned.

"Too young." Apocalypse shook his head. Without making any visible move, he blocked the flames with a barrier about half a meter from his thin, short body. The fire then went out at a speed visible to the naked eye.

His barrier could withstand even the high temperature of the sun's surface, let alone such pitiful flames.

"That's impossible!" Aaron stared at Apocalypse in disbelief, then used both hands to condense an enormous mass of flames and hurl it forward. Amid John and Shirley's cries of alarm, the giant fireball, enough to burn down the bar, was directly crushed by Apocalypse after he turned around, using one dry, twig-like hand. Sparks flew from between his fingers!

"This..." Aaron's face turned utterly pale. He had always been proud and arrogant of his powerful fire-controlling mutant ability, yet now, facing this frail old man, he felt a deep sense of helplessness welling up inside him.

"Who exactly are you people?" Aaron's face alternated between green and white. Ignoring his companions still inside the bar, he abruptly turned and tried to flee toward the entrance.

"Did I say you could leave?" Apocalypse pointed a finger. After taking only a few steps, Aaron's body froze in place like a statue, completely unable to move.
