It was late at night.

A chill suddenly swept into downtown New York, followed by snow drifting down abruptly from the sky.

In an instant, New York was transformed into a vast expanse of white, its streetlights casting a dim, warm yellow glow.

Pedestrians hurried along the streets, all rushing home.

Caesar, wrapped in a long black overcoat, had nowhere to call home. He walked silently through the deserted streets of New York, while the old man-like Apocalypse hunched over and followed faithfully behind him in silence. Before the snowflakes could land on either of them, they evaporated and scattered on their own.

"Where does Master wish to go next?" Apocalypse asked hoarsely.

Caesar did not answer and continued strolling slowly. He truly did not know where he should go. He had never belonged to this world. Though he had lived here for decades, he had always been like duckweed without roots.

No home, no family. It was all the same wherever he went.

Caesar had often visited bars around the world before, merely looking for a little amusement. Now, even that amusement was gone. All that remained was becoming stronger—but he had grown so strong that no one on Earth could rival him, so strong that he had surpassed his former self. Growing stronger no longer held any real meaning.

Boring.

Truly boring.

Now, the only thought keeping him alive in this X-Men world was probably returning to the Marvel world.

Caesar let out a soft breath. He suddenly thought of someone—the only person he still cared about in this X-Men universe.

"Let's go. We'll take a look at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters," Caesar said softly.

The next instant, he and Apocalypse vanished from the streets of New York at the same time. No one noticed or sensed
