Qin Mu’s divine sense drove Jieyin and Zhunti to flee the Western Heavenly Court, and his True Body arrived after they escaped. He healed Haotian and said he had come to discuss another matter, leaving Haotian ready to obey his instructions.
Qin Mu ordered Haotian to relocate the Western Heavenly Court to the east and merge it with the Eastern Heavenly Court. Haotian agreed and led the court’s halls and three hundred thousand troops toward the Eastern Heavenly Realm, while cultivators across the Great Desolation realized the two courts were uniting under Emperor Venerate.
Haotian surrendered the Western Heavenly Court and part of its Fortune to Emperor Venerate, unifying the Heavenly Courts and strengthening Qin Mu’s control over the Primordial Wilderness. As the Western Lands collapsed into desolation, Jieyin and Zhunti suffered setbacks and lamented that their teachings’ foundation had been destroyed.
After Qin Mu and Haotian destroyed the Western Teachings’ power, Jieyin and Zhunti prepared to flee Mount Sumeru and seek the Dark Night Monarch’s help. They discovered an ancient Buddhist power beneath the mountain and plunged underground to investigate the hidden legacy.
Jieyin and Zhunti discovered an ancient stone gate beneath Mount Sumeru that hinted at a supreme Buddha Epoch and powerful inheritance. Zhunti’s attempt to force it open failed, and when Jieyin touched it, the gate began draining his Saintly blood.
Jieyin and Zhunti opened an ancient Buddhist treasury beneath Mount Sumeru after the gate drained most of Jieyin’s saint blood. They discovered an Epoch Buddha Embryo and eight powerful Dharma artifacts, then rushed toward the treasures.
Jieyin and Zhunti sacrificed their saintly blood to awaken the ancient Buddha, hoping to claim his body as an inheritance. Instead, the Chaos Ancient Buddha opened his eyes, revealed he was alive, and declared his return.
The Chaos Ancient Buddha awakened at Mount Sumeru and revealed a power beyond the Heavenly Dao, then set out across the Primordial Wilderness with Jieyin and Zhunti bound behind him. His emergence stirred Primordial Heavenly Demon at Kunlun, who recognized the ancient enemy and prepared for what might come.
Primordial Heavenly Demon, Dao Ancestor Hongjun, and Great Immortal Yang Mei reacted to Chaos Ancient Buddha’s return and the gathering struggle over the Immortal Seed. As ancient powers stirred across the Primordial World, Yang Mei watched Qin Mu as a possible force in the conflict.
Jieyin and Zhunti awakened Chaos Ancient Buddha beneath Mount Sumeru, but he forced Zhunti to reveal the state of the Primordial Wilderness and rebuked the Western Saints for their defeat by Qin Mu. The chapter left the ancient titan refusing to attack Qin Mu, while Zhunti questioned why he feared the junior.
The Chaos Ancient Buddha explained why former-era giants could not freely fight Qin Mu and made Jieyin and Zhunti his agents in the current age. He gave each Saint a drop of Primordial Ancestral Buddha Quintessential Blood, and they swallowed it to begin restoring their strength.
Jieyin and Zhunti consumed the ancient Progenitor Buddha’s Quintessential Blood and rose to the peak of Primordial Unity Grand Unity Golden Immortal Ninth Heaven. The weakened Progenitor Buddha sent them to the Western Qi battlefield to aid the Dark Night Monarch and collect spiritual blood and souls to restore his strength.
Jieyin and Zhunti agreed to gather Quintessential Blood for the Chaos Ancient Buddha, then sacrificed the hundred thousand surviving disciples of the Western Teachings to feed him. Afterward, the brothers headed to Western Qi, where their terrifying arrival stunned the Dark Night Monarch.
Jieyin and Zhunti returned to the Western Qi Camp with their injuries healed and their cultivation raised to Primordial Unity Grand Unity Golden Immortal Ninth Heaven, shocking Dark Night Monarch and the camp's leaders. Jieyin attributed their sudden power to a Buddhist inheritance beneath Mount Sumeru, concealing the Chaos Ancient Buddha's existence.
Dark Night Monarch ordered Western Qi to attack Sishui Pass in three days, while Jieyin and Zhunti secretly plotted to harvest the battlefield’s Quintessential Blood. At Sishui Pass, Di Xin and the defenders learned that the two Saints had reached Supreme Polarity Ninth Heaven, leaving them to face an overwhelming enemy force.
Daoist Duobao learned that three Ninth Heaven Supreme Polarity experts and their allies threatened Sishui Pass, while Qin Mu could not leave seclusion without risking a wider catastrophe. He ordered the defenders to hold the pass and traveled to the Underworld to report the crisis and seek Qin Mu’s decree.
Daoist Duobao rushed to the Underworld to find Qin Mu and warn him that Western Qi’s forces threatened Sishui Pass, but found only Yin Tianzi, Qin Mu’s Clone. Yin Tianzi gave Duobao the Sacred Spirit Pearl and ordered him to return to Sishui Pass, promising that Qin Mu would handle any consequences.
Daoist Duobao returned to Sishui Pass with Qin Mu’s Sacred Spirit Pearl, rallying its defenders against Western Qi’s impending attack. Meanwhile, Qin Mu met with Tongtian on Jin'ao Island, where Tongtian reflected on how far his disciple had surpassed him.
