"Squeak!"
A piercing red light flashed from the ark, and alarms blared. Its speed surged, and it vanished from sight.
The streak of white light still drifted along, completely unaware that calamity had just brushed past it.
"But if you think about it, aren't I the calamity for them?"
Fang Yuan pondered. A Dao Fruit could affect a universe in many ways, and its influence was always fundamental.
Take what had just happened. If he'd wanted to, the civilization's last ark would have been wiped out in an instant—or worse, twisted by his Dao Fruit of Dream, suffering mutations like those caused by radiation, or even Spirit Pollution.
"Perhaps I'd gain another follower that way—a race of dream beings?"
He couldn't help laughing. "The Dream Master is a profession; a race of dream beings is a bloodline... The Dao Fruit of Dream truly is the source of everything!"
"Still, discovering two civilizations in one day... I'd say I've been pretty lucky. Maybe there's a universe nearby..."
Entering the Huaxia Universe rashly would be too risky. Fang Yuan had already decided to find a waystation and, while he was at it, take stock of his own combat strength.
"My foundation lies in the Dao Fruit of Dream. Beyond that, there's half a Heavenly Evolution Dao Fruit, the Innate Undying Great Dao, and the Void and Dao of Time... Of my external possessions, the only truly important one is that Eye Orb!"
As he thought this, a flash of light appeared in Fang Yuan's hand, revealing a black orb.
The eyeball was merely its outward form. What mattered was the power at its source. Now, to suit his human habits, the once-enormous Eye Orb had shrunk to an ordinary size, yet the mysterious aura it contained had lost none of its potency.
