In the hologram, the creation behind Vashtorr began to stir.
Then a portal descended from above.
"Come kill me." Vashtorr crooked a long, iron-hooked finger.
Lu Jin carried his weapon through the portal, emerging inside the spire of the hive city.
The Daemon Engines were slaughtering people he couldn't care less about.
Beside Vashtorr stood a massive device embedded in the floor, like a furnace. Countless screams and wails poured from within it.
Vashtorr's evil creation was refining and extracting something it had found on Kamas.
"What is this?"
Lion suddenly stepped out of the flickering portal light beside Lu Jin.
Vashtorr had opened a portal for the Primarch as well. Lion had carried "Loyalty" through it without hesitation and emerged beside Lu Jin.
Lu Jin studied Vashtorr, judging its combat strength by everything this Warp demigod had done.

Still, Vashtorr definitely couldn't be stronger than him. That was what Lu Jin thought. But there were things he wanted to ask Vashtorr. Even if the answers weren't necessarily true, they might at least leave some clues he could use to draw his own conclusions.
Lu Jin gripped his Greatsword and charged Vashtorr, ready to beat everything it knew out of the demigod.
Lion charged Vashtorr as well.
As they closed in, a fifteen-meter-tall
