The War Alliance?
Chen Changan saw the surprise on their faces but gave nothing away.
"I've heard of the War Alliance. It stands apart and doesn't fit in."
"I didn't expect you to be one of its people."
"As for us, we're from Starfall Hall."
Starfall Hall?
It was Chen Changan's first time hearing the name. He knew nothing of its strength, but judging by their expressions when they heard "War Alliance," they didn't seem to think much of it.
"What?"
"You've never heard of Starfall Hall?"
The Starfall Hall members looked at Chen Changan with unfriendly faces. They had tried to show off, only for it to fall flat. It was irritating.
"I have. Of course I have."
"It's just that our War Alliance can't compare with your Starfall Hall."
"I'm surprised to run into people from Starfall Hall here, of all places," Chen Changan said with a smile.
"Hmph. Of course it can't compare."
"Forget it. We can't be bothered with you. Take our advice: with your cultivation, you shouldn't be here. Go back to the War Alliance."
"Let's go."
The three had only come over out of curiosity. They said little more to Chen Changan, though they did leave him with a warning.
Chen Changan could see they meant no harm, so he did not attack them.
But leaving was out of the question. He had come all this way; he might as well see what the Abyssal Clan was really like.
Unlike those three, Chen Changan made no effort to proceed cautiously. He flew straight into the depths.
"Has that kid gone mad?"
"The ignorant know no fear. He's asking to die."
"He'll alert the Abyssal Clan in no time. He's as good as dead."
"Forget him. We might as well let him draw their attention.
