Chen Changan is the Chen Family’s Old Ancestor, though he initially appears as an exceptionally handsome young man with unremarkable visible cultivation. In Yan Gui City, he observes the Chen Family’s retaliation against the Xu and Ning families after Chen Zhengyuan reveals his hidden strength. Chen Changan has memories reaching back at least a thousand years and recalls witnessing the duel between Lin Xiangliu and Wu Mingdao with Da Huang. 11

He first reveals his identity to the Chen Family while Liu Chengfeng is intimidating its members. Chen Zhengyuan recognizes him, and the family kneels in respect. He subsequently mentors Chen Yunxuan and gives him the Emperor-tier Supreme Hegemon Body Art, helping initiate the family's rapid recovery in strength. 4 8

His youthful appearance conceals a much longer history. Xuan Wudao remembers meeting him three thousand years earlier without any apparent change in his appearance, while Da Huang recounts his acquaintance with Lu Qingyun more than five thousand years earlier.
