The Nine-Tails growled, its scarlet, slit-pupiled eyes fixed firmly on Yo.
"Madara Uchiha... awakened the Rinnegan before he died!"
Yo spoke calmly. "With those eyes, he summoned the Ten-Tails' husk from the moon: the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path."
"And now, his successor is active in the shinobi world, forming an organization called the Akatsuki."
"One of the Akatsuki Organization's goals is to collect all nine Tailed Beasts and revive the... Ten-Tails!"
The Nine-Tails' pupils instantly shrank to pinpoints. Every muscle in his body tensed, and his fur stood on end.
Yo spoke slowly. "Kurama, you should understand better than I do what that means... right?"
"Impossible!!"
The Nine-Tails roared, trying to drown out the turmoil inside him with sheer volume.
"Madara Uchiha's been dead for ages! He's been dead for decades! You dare lie to me, brat?!"
As beings formed from the chakra split off from the Ten-Tails, the nine Tailed Beasts were themselves parts of it.
The Nine-Tails knew better than any other creature that if they were sealed back into the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and the Ten-Tails revived...
Their independent minds would be completely erased, fused together, and returned to that chaotic beast.
That was billions of times more terrifying than being sealed inside a Jinchuriki, or imprisoned in a lightless place!
That was the true annihilation of their very existence!
