After half a month or so at Konoha Hospital, time had flown by.

Seeing his Attribute Points steadily increase put Nanfeng in a great mood.
Just then, a familiar figure burst into the medical room. "Uzumaki Naruto?"
Nanfeng called out in surprise.
It was none other than Uzumaki Naruto, the Dead Last of the original story who would go on to make a comeback.
For some reason, seeing Naruto made Nanfeng feel a sense of familiarity, as if they had known each other all along.
But the feeling vanished in an instant.
"Nanfeng?" Naruto looked at him in confusion. He didn't understand why Nanfeng was at Konoha Hospital.
"Are you hurt?" Nanfeng asked, concerned when he saw Naruto covered in blood.
"Oh, it's nothing. I did it myself," Naruto replied casually.
The guy sure was stubborn.
"By the way, weren't you training in the village? What brought you to Konoha Hospital?" Naruto asked, perplexed.
"I'm a Medical Ninja at Konoha Hospital now," Nanfeng said with a smile.
"What? You're a Medical Ninja at Konoha Hospital now?" Naruto exclaimed in surprise.
"Mm-hmm." Nanfeng gave a soft cough, deliberately keeping him in suspense.
"Heh," Naruto sneered. "Who are you trying to fool? Don't think I don't know what you're like. You can't even use Ninjutsu!"
"Heh heh." Nanfeng gave an awkward laugh, then said, "I mean, I really am a Medical Ninja at Konoha Hospital now. And you have to believe me—I really can treat injuries!"
"Yeah, right. You're all talk. I'll let you prove it in a minute!" Naruto scoffed.
"I happen to be injured. Why don't you try treating me?"
"Sure," Nanfeng replied eagerly.
With that, Nanfeng used Medical Ninjutsu on Naruto, healing the wounds on his body.
As the wounds gradually disappeared, Naruto's face filled with shock. He hadn't expected Nanfeng to actually have such impressive medical skills—and to restore him so quickly.
"What do you think? Pretty impressed with my Medical Ninjutsu?" Nanfeng asked with a smile.
"Wow, how did you do that?" Naruto gazed at Nanfeng in admiration.
Nanfeng smiled faintly. "That's a secret. I can't tell you."
"Hmph, keep showing off. When I learn Ninjutsu, I'll be even better than you," Naruto said with a pout.
"Heh, all right. I'll be waiting."
After chatting for a while, Nanfeng went back to treating the other patients.
Danzo had learned that Nanfeng had mastered Ninjutsu at such a young age, and it had given him ideas. Although Nanfeng had learned Medical Ninjutsu, Danzo believed that with his guidance, Nanfeng could still become a killing machine.
He then decided to go ask Hiruzen Sarutobi for Nanfeng. But he didn't know that Hiruzen Sarutobi had plans of his own. Impressed by Nanfeng's talent, he wanted to raise him into a loyal supporter of his clan.
Before long, Danzo arrived at the Hokage Office and walked straight in after knocking.
"Sarutobi, busy?" Danzo asked with a false smile.
Hiruzen Sarutobi glanced at Danzo but said nothing.
"I came here to talk to you about something. I hope you'll consider it."
"What is it?" Hiruzen Sarutobi asked coldly.
"Nanfeng is clever and talented—a rare young prospect. Don't you think?" Danzo asked.
"Whether he's a promising talent isn't for me to decide. He has to choose for himself," Hiruzen Sarutobi replied expressionlessly.
"Haha." Danzo gave a dry laugh, then continued, "I think Nanfeng would be suited to training with our Anbu. What do you say, Sarutobi?"
Hearing Danzo's words, Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned at once. He was clearly displeased.
The Anbu was the village's most dangerous organization, with plenty of difficult missions. The slightest misstep could cost someone their life. How could someone as young as Nanfeng endure that kind of hardship?
So Hiruzen Sarutobi refused outright. "Don't bring this up again."
Hiruzen Sarutobi saw through Danzo immediately. He wanted Nanfeng to work for him, and this time he was being blatant, crude, and utterly shameless about it.
Hearing Hiruzen Sarutobi refuse again, Danzo grew furious. "Sarutobi, don't be so unreasonable!"
Hiruzen Sarutobi stood up and stared at Danzo, his voice icy. "Remember, I'm the Hokage!"
With that, Hiruzen Sarutobi left the office.
"Damn it! Damn it!"
Danzo slammed his hand against the desk, grinding his teeth.
Hiruzen Sarutobi's attitude had enraged him, but Hiruzen Sarutobi was the Hokage, with far more authority than him. Danzo was only in charge of the Anbu, so for now, there was nothing he could do about Hiruzen Sarutobi.
But he wouldn't give up on Nanfeng. Nanfeng had enormous potential, and Danzo needed him.
At that thought, Danzo narrowed his eyes.
Evening.
Nanfeng went to the Ichiraku Ramen Shop again.
"Uncle, a bowl of ramen, please."
"Coming right up!"
A steaming bowl of noodles was set in front of Nanfeng. "Thanks!"
"Nanfeng, you came for ramen too." Naruto spotted him and called out excitedly.
"Heh, Naruto, you're here too!" Nanfeng said with a smile. Naruto was a decent guy. He was impulsive and reckless, but kindhearted—and a very good kid.
"Hey, Naruto, Nanfeng, you two know each other?"
"Yeah, Uncle. Nanfeng's amazing. He can already use Ninjutsu," Naruto said proudly.
Otsutsuki Ikkaku smiled but didn't say anything.
Nanfeng scratched his head, feeling a little shy.
After dinner, Nanfeng said goodbye to Naruto and went home.
Once he was in his room, Nanfeng washed up, changed his clothes, and sat by the bed, lost in thought.
If I can gain Attribute Points by treating a patient, then patients shouldn't be limited to people, Nanfeng suddenly realized, struck by an interesting idea.
He decided to give it a try the next day.
The following morning, Nanfeng gathered his things and went to an open area on the outskirts of the Konoha Forest, where he began searching for wild animals.
That was right—he planned to experiment on the animals and see whether treating them would earn him Attribute Points.
Before long, he came across a rabbit.
The rabbit hopped toward the south. Nanfeng quietly followed it, then struck with his knife when it let its guard down, slicing its belly. He then used Healing Technique to treat its injury, and soon the rabbit had recovered.
"Ding! Congratulations, host, you have treated a patient and gained 1 Attribute Point!"
