Seizing the Book of Seals

"No." Amado shook his head. "This is the key to Lord Jigen's resurrection."

"Jigen is dead," Sasuke said. "Stop deluding yourself."

"Dead?" Amado laughed. "He's only dormant for now."

"What do you mean?"

"Lord Jigen's consciousness is still there," Amado said. "With enough chakra, he can be resurrected."

Kiyomi's eyes widened. "His consciousness is still there?"

"That's right," Amado said. "And he's been waiting for this day."

Sasuke's expression turned serious. "Where is he?"

"You'll see him soon enough," Amado said.

He picked up the Book of Seals, and his body began to glow.

"Damn it!" Sasuke rushed toward him, but it was already too late.

Amado vanished.

"Damn it," Sasuke gritted out. "He got away again."

Kiyomi walked over to him. "Sasuke-sensei, what do we do now?"

Sasuke was silent for a while.

"Return to the village," he said. "Tell Naruto about this."

The two of them left the cave.

On the way, Kiyomi kept thinking about Amado's words.

Jigen's consciousness is still there...

Then where is he?

"Sasuke-sensei," she said.

"Hmm?"

"Do you think Jigen can really be resurrected?"

Sasuke looked ahead. "I don't know."

"But if he is resurrected..."
