Special Jonin

The title of Special Jonin had raised Kiyomi's standing in the village considerably.

Walking down the street, she found that quite a few people greeted her first.

"Special Jonin Kiyomi!"

"Good morning."

Kiyomi still wasn't used to being called that.

When she arrived at the Training Ground, Boruto and Kawaki were already there.

"Well, look at you, Lady Special Jonin," Boruto teased.

"Cut it out." Kiyomi rolled her eyes.

"Congratulations," Kawaki said.

"Thanks."

The three of them began their usual training.

Kiyomi could now control her Sharingan with ease, without burning through as much Chakra as before.

Her Chidori was also considerably stronger than it had been.

They trained until noon, when Sasuke showed up.

"Kiyomi, come with me."

Kiyomi followed Sasuke away from the Training Ground.

The two of them arrived at the Hokage Building.

Naruto sat behind his desk, with Kakashi standing beside him.

"Sasuke, Kiyomi. You're here," Naruto said.

"Did you need us for something, Hokage?" Kiyomi asked.

"I have a mission for you." Naruto took out a scroll. "There have been suspicious Chakra fluctuations near the border recently."

"Suspicious?"

"They don't seem like the Chakra of ordinary ninja," Kakashi added. "They're more like those of some kind of experimental subject."

Kiyomi thought of the Cyborgs they had encountered before.

"Could it be the Kara Organization?"

"That's possible," Naruto said. "That's why I need you to investigate."

"When do we leave?" Sasuke asked.

"Tomorrow."

Kiyomi nodded.

This was her first mission since becoming a Special Jonin.

She couldn't mess it up.

When she got home, Kiyomi began preparing her gear.

She checked everything three times before she was satisfied.
