"They're gathering at the border," Naruto said. "Looks like they're going to attack the Leaf."

Everyone's expression changed.

"When?"

"In three days at the earliest," Shikamaru said.

"Then we need to prepare," Kakashi said.

"Right," Naruto said. "All ninja ranked Jonin or higher, stand by."

"Yes, sir."

Kiyomi returned home and began gathering her gear.

Sylvie was preparing too.

"There's going to be a war," she said.

"Yeah."

"Are you scared?"

"A little," Kiyomi said. "But I'm more angry."

"Angry?"

"Kara has done so many terrible things," Kiyomi said. "We have to stop them."

Sylvie smiled.

"Then let's fight together."

"Okay."

Two days later.

Kara's army appeared at the Leaf's border.

They were a dark, imposing mass, numbering at least several hundred.

At their head stood a man in a white robe.

"Is that Jigen?" Kiyomi asked.

"Probably," Sasuke said.

Jigen stood at the front of the army, looking at the Leaf's walls.

"The Leaf..." He smiled. "We've finally arrived."

Naruto stood atop the wall.

"Kara, what do you want?"

"What do I want?" Jigen said. "To destroy the Leaf, of course."

"Why?"

"Because the Leaf is in my way," Jigen said. "I want to create a new world. The Leaf must disappear."

"A new world?"

"Yes," Jigen said. "A world without war or suffering."

"Then why start a war?" Naruto said.

"Because the old world must be destroyed," Jigen said. "Only then can a new one be built."

"You're insane."

"Insane?" Jigen laughed. "You're the ones who are insane. You have power, yet you refuse to change the world."

"Change doesn't come from destruction," Naruto said.

"Then what does it come from?" Jigen said. "Your talk-no-jutsu?"

Naruto fell silent.

"Forget it. There's no getting through to you." Jigen waved his hand. "Attack."

Kara's army charged toward the Leaf.

"Engage!"
