In the North Galaxy, three planets were very special: Planet Namek, Planet Metamor, and Planet Yardrat.
In the starry expanse not far from Planet Namek lay a purple planet. Viewed from outside, its terrain was mostly rock and wilderness.
This planet was none other than Planet Yardrat.
In the Dragon Ball anime, Son Goku had learned Instant Transmission on this very planet.
And today, a child dressed in clothing with an ancient Egyptian style arrived here.
Glen stood in the middle of a street, with Yardratians passing by on either side.
Yardratians were rather short, and their skin came in two colors: pink and white.
As they passed Glen, they all gave the child strange looks.
Glen seemed not to notice their gazes, muttering to himself all the while:
"Why did Whis say I already had the ability to survive in space?"
When Whis had brought him here just now, he had actually made another request: he wanted the ability to survive in space.
Being unable to survive in space had always been a Saiyan weakness. No matter which Saiyan it was, if someone destroyed the planet during a battle, they would certainly die in the end without oxygen.
That was exactly what had happened during Son Goku and Frieza's great battle on Planet Namek. Frieza had ultimately proved no match for Son Goku, but he had destroyed Planet Namek!
If Son Goku had not happened upon the Ginyu Force's spaceship, he would never have survived!
Glen did not want to have this weakness, so he had asked Whis.
With Whis's unfathomable abilities, he ought to have had a way to help him solve this problem.
But Whis had refused him, saying that he already possessed the ability to survive in space.
"Why would Whis say something like that?"
Glen stood in the street, his brow furrowed the whole time.
Only an Angel or Shenron could give a Saiyan the ability to survive in space!
But he had never made such a wish to Shenron. Why could he already survive in space?
Glen could not make sense of it no matter how hard he thought.
"In this situation, all I can do is test it!"
Glen muttered this inwardly, looking up at the purple sky as he channeled his Ki to the soles of his feet.
Whoosh!
Glen shot toward space at an astonishing speed!
The instant Glen left the street, the Yardratians there erupted into an uproar.
"Half a year ago, wasn't that planet near ours destroyed by two mysterious powerhouses? One of them was dressed exactly like this child!"
"Could this child be with that mysterious powerhouse?"
"Quick, tell the Grand Elder!"
"..."
Glen knew nothing of what was happening behind him. By now, he had reached the edge of the atmosphere.
A little oxygen still remained here. One more step would take him into a vacuum.
Glen did not hesitate much. Holding his breath, he took that step, then tried slowly breathing.
Boom-!
Glen's heart shook. He felt no exchange of breath, but he did not feel the slightest sense of suffocation.
How was this possible?
Refusing to believe it, Glen stayed there. If he felt suffocated, he would turn around and flee immediately.
Ten minutes!
Twenty minutes!
Sixty minutes!
"Why is this happening?"
Glen's eyes widened. He had spent so long in the vacuum of space, yet he did not feel the slightest sense of suffocation.
Meanwhile, far away in the God of Destruction Realm, Whis watched Glen's actions through the crystal ball on his staff and chuckled:
"Because your dimensional level has already reached Peak King Kai. In other words, you're no longer a mortal, so naturally, your body is no longer affected by a vacuum."
As for Glen, he still did not know the real reason. All he knew was that Saiyans could not possibly possess the ability to survive for extended periods in the vacuum of space.
Soon, he came up with two guesses.
Either his constitution was special, allowing him to survive in the vacuum of space.
Or someone had made a wish to Shenron, probably wishing for Saiyans to gain the ability to survive in space.
He was a Saiyan too, which would explain his current change.
But he was only an Elite Saiyan. How special could his constitution possibly be?
Then only the second possibility remained. But who exactly had made that wish to Shenron?
Glen suddenly felt a little panicked. No one in the original story had ever made such a wish. Could his transmigration have caused a butterfly effect?
Whis must know something. I'll have to ask him when the time comes!
Glen recalled what Whis had said before leaving.
Since Whis, an Angel, knew about this but had shown no other reaction, that should mean the problem was not too serious.
At that thought, he felt much more at ease.
"I have to say, being able to survive in space feels amazing!"
Glen soon put the matter out of his mind. Now that he no longer had the weakness of being unable to survive in space, he began roaming happily among the stars.
The boundless universe and dazzling stars formed a breathtakingly beautiful vista that captivated him.
After roaming for a while, Glen was about to return to Planet Yardrat to learn Instant Transmission.
Suddenly!
Glen spotted two figures in the starry expanse ahead, hovering before a huge sphere of light.
One was rather short, with white punk-style hair, pale purple skin, and a pair of Potara Earrings on his ears.
When Glen saw the clothes the short man was wearing, his pupils abruptly contracted.
"Supreme Kai Shin!!!!"
Supreme Kai Shin, who was creating a planet, seemed to hear someone call him. He and Kibito hurriedly turned around.
It was actually a little brat around eight years old?!
"Who are you? How dare you address Lord Supreme Kai by name?"
Kibito was the Supreme Kai's servant, and his tone was filled with arrogance toward mortals.
"Shin, why are you here? Shouldn't you be in the Supreme Kai Realm?"
Glen naturally knew what Kibito's personality had been like early on. He ignored the fellow outright and instead stared at Supreme Kai Shin.
"How dare you be so disrespectful!"
Seeing Glen ignore him, Kibito moved to step forward and teach the child a lesson.
Suddenly!
He felt something clamp around his neck, and the bones inside it creaked.
Kibito looked down. At some point, Glen had appeared in front of him and gripped his neck with one small hand.
It hurt so much!!
The aura of death enveloped his entire body!!
Boundless terror surged through Kibito's heart!!
"I know you're arrogant, but don't be arrogant with me. Do it again, and you die."
Glen tossed Kibito aside before shifting his gaze to Supreme Kai Shin.
Supreme Kai Shin tensed. Kibito possessed the power to kill Frieza instantly, yet he had not lasted even a single exchange against this child.
But...
Judging from the child's words and actions, he did not seem to harbor any ill intent!
Supreme Kai Shin relaxed a little and asked, "Who are you? How do you know me?"
"You're the Supreme Kai of Universe 7. Of course I know you."
Glen pointed at the God of Destruction attire he wore, his voice somewhat childish. "Then do you know me?"
