Can One Survive in Space? Shin the God of Destruction?

In the North Galaxy, three planets were particularly special: Planet Namek, Planet Metamor, and Planet Yardrat.

Not far from Planet Namek, there was a purple planet in the starry expanse. From outside, its terrain was mostly rock and wilderness.

This planet was Planet Yardrat.

In the Dragon Ball anime, Goku had learned Instant Transmission on this very planet.

And today, a child dressed in ancient Egyptian-style clothing arrived here.

Gran stood in the middle of the street as Yardratians passed by on either side of him.

Yardratians were relatively short, with either pink or white skin.

As they passed Gran, they all looked at the child with strange expressions.

Gran seemed not to notice their gazes. He kept muttering to himself.

"Why did Whis say I already have the ability to survive in space?"

When Whis had just brought him here, Gran had actually made a request. He wanted to gain the ability to survive in space.

After all, being unable to survive in space had always been a Saiyan weakness. No matter which Saiyan it was, if someone destroyed the planet during battle and there was no oxygen, they would definitely be unable to survive in the end.

Just like when Goku and Frieza fought on Planet Namek. Frieza had ultimately lost to Goku, but he had destroyed Planet Namek!

If Goku had not happened to encounter the Ginyu Force's spaceship, he definitely would not have survived!

Gran did not want to have such a weakness, so he had asked Whis for help.

With Whis's unfathomable abilities, he should have had a way to solve this problem for him.

But Whis had refused, saying Gran already possessed the ability to survive in space.

"Why would Whis say something like that?"

Gran stood in the street, his brow constantly furrowed.

The only ones who could grant Saiyans the ability to survive in space were Angels or the Dragon God!

But he had never made such a wish to the Dragon God. Why could he already survive in space?

Gran could not figure it out no matter how hard he tried.

Gran muttered inwardly. He raised his head toward the purple sky and channeled his energy into the soles of his feet.

Gran shot toward space at an astonishing speed!

The instant Gran left the street, the Yardratians on it erupted into an uproar.

"Wasn't the planet near ours destroyed by two Mysterious Strongmen half a year ago? One of them wore exactly the same clothes as this child!"

"Could this child be with that Mysterious Strongman?"

"Quick, inform the Grand Elder!"

Gran had no idea what was happening behind him. By then, he had already reached the edge of the atmosphere.

There was still a trace of oxygen here. One more step would take him into the vacuum of space.

Gran did not hesitate for long. Holding his breath, he took that step, then slowly tried to breathe.

Gran's heart trembled. He could not feel any exchange of air, yet he did not feel suffocated at all.

Meanwhile, far away in the God of Destruction Realm, Whis watched Gran's actions through the Crystal Ball on his Staff and chuckled.

"Because your Dimension has reached the Supreme Kai Realm Peak. In other words, you are no longer a Mortal Realm being, so your body is naturally no longer affected by the vacuum."

On Gran's side, he still did not know the true reason. He only knew that Saiyans should not be capable of surviving in the vacuum of space for extended periods.

Very quickly, two possibilities formed in his mind.

Either his physique was special, allowing him to survive in the vacuum of space.

Or someone had made a wish to the Dragon God, probably wishing for Saiyans to gain the ability to survive in space.

He was also a Saiyan, which was why he had undergone this change.

But he was only an Elite Saiyan. How special could his physique possibly be?

After flying around for a while, Gran was preparing to return to Planet Yardrat to learn Instant Transmission.

Suddenly!

Gran saw two figures in the starry sky ahead, hovering before an enormous sphere of light.

One of them was rather short, with white punk-styled hair, light purple skin, and a pair of Potara Earrings hanging from his ears.

When Gran saw the outfit on the short man, his pupils suddenly contracted.

"Shin the God of Destruction!!!!"

Shin the God of Destruction, who was creating a planet, seemed to hear someone call him. He and Kibito quickly turned around.

It was actually a little brat of around eight years old?!

"Who are you? How dare you directly call Lord Kai by his name?"

Kibito was Lord Kai's servant, and his tone was full of arrogance toward mortals.

"Shin, why are you here? Shouldn't you be in the Realm of the Gods?"

Gran naturally knew what Kibito had been like early on. He ignored him outright and instead stared at Shin the God of Destruction.

"How dare you be so rude!"

Seeing Gran ignore him, Kibito moved to step forward and teach the child a lesson.

Suddenly!

He felt something seize his neck, and the bones in it began to creak.

Kibito looked down and saw that, at some point, Gran had already appeared before him and was gripping his neck with one small hand.

It hurt so much!!

The aura of death engulfed his entire body!!

Endless fear surged through Kibito's heart!!

"I know you have an arrogant personality, but do not act arrogant toward me. If there is a next time, you will die."

Gran tossed Kibito aside before finally shifting his gaze to the Planet of the Kais.

Shin the God of Destruction tensed up. Kibito possessed enough strength to kill Frieza in seconds, yet he had not even lasted one exchange against this child.

Judging from the child's words and actions, he did not seem to bear any ill intent!

Shin the God of Destruction relaxed slightly and asked, "Who are you? How do you know me?"

"You are Universe 7's Lord Kai. Of course I know you."

Gran pointed to the God of Destruction Outfit he wore, his voice still childish. "Then do you know who I am?"
