The Kamehameha in Yark's hands finally dissipated. Gohan's attack had pierced straight through his heart from behind!
Clutching his chest, Yark turned around with difficulty. "I... I have 15 billion more battle power than you. How could you possibly beat me?!"
"Who said having higher battle power guaranteed you'd win?"
Gohan panted heavily. "My Uncle Gran once said that strength wasn't the only thing that decided a victory. All kinds of factors matter. Just like how I caught you off guard just now. If you can't react in time, you die!"
"Die?"
Yark coughed up a mouthful of blood. He felt his energy growing weaker and weaker. "If... if I die, then... you won't get any points for this match either!"
"Hmph, so what if I don't get any points? You were trying to kill me just now. Did you really think I'd let you go?"
Gohan's young face was cold.
Had he been the Gohan from the anime, he never would have reacted this way.
In the anime, Gohan loved books, peace, and nature. He had even entered the Super Saiyan 2 state for Android 16, who shared his love of nature.
But now, he had changed!
There were actually three reasons for Gohan's transformation.
First, Gran had changed Chi-Chi's mind about raising him to be a scholar.
Second, Gran had taught Little Gohan a few lessons about life.
Third, and most importantly, Gohan had met Future Trunks and learned from him how history had unfolded in another timeline.
Everyone would die, and because of his dream of becoming a scholar, he would lose an arm before ultimately dying a miserable death!
That... wasn't what he wanted.
What he wanted was to protect!
To protect his parents, himself, his friends, Earth... even Universe 7!
