Golden Cell took two involuntary steps back. He truly had no idea that Time Patrol even existed in this world.
Just as Golden Cell was deep in thought, Gran moved again.

Golden Cell had been quite confident at first.
But now that he knew the identity of the man before him—that he was the master of this universe, with terrifying strength—he knew he was no match for him at all.
Golden Cell no longer dared entertain any thought of fighting. The Golden Aura around him rapidly contracted, and without the slightest hesitation, he shot backward.
A streak of golden light skimmed rapidly over the sea, the powerful force beneath his feet carving a long white trail through the water.

"Do you think you can escape?"
Gran's shadows surged forward all at once.

One of the shadows pointed a finger at Golden Cell.
"No!!!"
Golden light erupted from Golden Cell's body. He gathered the power of every cell in his body with all his might and roared as he threw out a full-force attack, only for it to be crushed apart by vast energy the instant it touched Gran's figure.

Half of Cell's body vanished in an instant. With only half his body left, he crashed helplessly into the sea, sending up a towering column of water.
"Th-This guy is too strong!!"
"I'll really die if I stay here!!"
Golden Cell endured his fear and agonizing pain as his golden flesh rapidly writhed and healed. But before he could regain his footing, another pale purple figure was already upon him.
Gran raised his fingertips slightly, utterly emotionless, and terrifying energy pierced through Cell's chest like a sharp blade.
