"Finally, we're going home."

Hachishaku-hime stretched, showing off every graceful curve. She had grown used to staying home and no longer cared much for going out unless His Highness asked her to.

By now, she and Xuexu could have become a pair of homebodies, spending every day watching TV and playing games together.

None of them had much luggage. They could leave whenever they wanted.

Li Dan found Xuexu's expressionless face amusing. Keeping her distance from him was hardly going to fool anyone. After all, they had held each other that day.

Xuexu had changed clothes today. Li Dan had bought the outfit for her on Hong Kong Island: a black long-sleeved top and a black A-line denim skirt that showed off her slender legs.

Li Dan walked right up to Xuexu and kissed her before she could say a word.

Hachishaku-hime stared blankly. It wasn't that she was shocked; it had just happened so suddenly. They hadn't been nearly this close a few days ago.

After the kiss, Li Dan leaned close to Xuexu's ear and murmured,

"What's wrong? Are you shy because Hachishaku is watching?"

"No. It was just so sudden, and I don't want to compete with Hachishaku."

Xuexu let out a soft breath as she looked at Li Dan. She was sure he had done it on purpose. He knew perfectly well...

Li Dan rarely made the first move. He just found Xuexu's personality unusual. Once Maria had been sure of her feelings, even she had expressed her love boldly.

But Xuexu wouldn't. She would enjoy herself while trying to hold back.

After all, who had responded to his kiss just now and even begun to suck on his lips?

Li Dan said, "Hachishaku won't mind. So how about being a little bolder?"

Xuexu fell silent.
