"Li, what do those two pets of yours eat?"
Mike still looked shaken. He spoke more politely now, afraid the little creatures might go berserk and eat someone.
"They find their own food. They eat anything."
Li Dan had no time to feed them himself. At most, he occasionally bought a few pigs for them. Usually, he let them hunt for themselves, and the wild beasts in the mountains paid the price.

As though it understood Li Dan, the Tremors creature burrowed back underground.
It was an astonishing sight. An alien monster could actually understand him.
Bill recovered and began talking with Li Dan, clearly hoping he would take charge.
Li Dan answered without hesitation.
"Do it your way. Tell the others to find their childhood keepsakes, then go to the place where you sealed the clown back then. I'll be waiting there."
"Oh, and take this doll with you."
Li Dan was worried something might happen on the way. It would be bad if Pennywise killed all six of them.
