This pyramid was even larger than they had imagined.
After some discussion, everyone decided to split up.
Li Dan was assigned to Lex's team. As a top-tier explorer, she naturally stayed with the wealthy boss, Charles.
The billionaire had cancer. If he wanted to survive, he could only seek out these illusory beings.
Looking at it that way, becoming a vampire might have been a good choice.
But in truth, becoming a vampire was no easier than curing cancer. Most of those transformed became nothing more than blood servants.
Outside the pyramid.
The three-Predator squad.
Using their miniature computers, they had already surveyed all three levels clearly, including every human who had entered.
The only thing squad leader Celtic could not understand was that one of the humans seemed to possess a faint trace of blackness in addition to body heat.
But the trial was about to begin. Celtic did not dwell on that minor issue and directly activated the trial.
A heavy, low-frequency tremor suddenly echoed from deep within the pyramid, like the heartbeat of an ancient beast awakening.
The layout of all three levels began to shift. The Alien Queen on the lowest level let out a roar, and the Facehugger eggs entered their incubation stage.
The Predator trial had officially begun.
The sacrificial chamber was located on the lowest level of the pyramid. Cloudy liquid dripped from stone stalactites hanging from the dome, while dozens of translucent Facehugger eggs were neatly arranged across the floor. Their shells were covered in dense vein-like patterns, pulsing faintly beneath the red light.
The few team members left behind gripped their weapons tightly. Faced with the sudden tremors, they clearly had no idea what was happening.
"The eggs are moving!"
One team member suddenly barked, instantly chambering his submachine gun.
