Hong Kong Island.
Beside the Sai Kung Country Road, the iron gates of Chongguang Psychiatric Hospital slowly opened with a dry, creaking groan.
Li Dan's overly gleaming luxury sedan looked utterly out of place against the peeling walls and wildly overgrown weeds inside the hospital grounds.
The "doctor" who came out to greet him had sharply defined muscles beneath his white coat, thick knuckles, and a smile that was warm yet precise.
There was no other reason for it—just Li Dan's Money Power.
"Mr. Li, this way, please. Mr. Li Ang's... mood has been relatively stable today."
He led Li Dan down the corridor, his gaze repeatedly flicking toward the bulging briefcase. Something in his tone loosened slightly.
The air carried a stale odor that even disinfectant could not conceal, mixed with faint, incomprehensible muttering.
But when the ward door opened, it was empty.
The window stood wide open. A "rope" twisted from bedsheets, hospital gowns, and plastic sheeting of unknown origin hung absurdly down toward the weed-choked backyard below.
"He escaped again!" The doctor's expression changed, showing more frustration than surprise as he immediately pressed his intercom.
"Third floor, Zone A, Room 307. The target is missing again! Hurry, the usual place—the public housing estate!"
He turned to Li Dan, rubbing his hands as he lowered his voice.
"Mr. Li, I'm terribly sorry. That brat's as slippery as an eel. Don't worry, since we took your... ah, we'll definitely take responsibility. Please have a seat. We'll be right back..."
The ambulance wailed out of the hospital grounds and turned into a densely packed old public housing estate, like a honeycomb.
The moment it stopped, they saw several men in security uniforms dragging a man in a black trench coat out of a narrow alley.
The man was Li Ang.
