Li Dan left the shop and caught up with Tian Can.
"Was there something else you needed, great hero?"
Tian Can did not turn around, his voice unusually clear in the night.
Li Dan stopped five paces behind him.
"Yes, I wanted to ask," Li Dan said, choosing his words carefully, "have you met an old man with psychic powers?"
Tian Can slowly turned, his brow creasing. "Psychic powers? What are those?"
Realizing that this man from ancient times did not understand modern terminology, Li Dan rephrased his question.
"An old man with a little internal energy, someone who seemed rather unusual. You probably met him shortly after you arrived on Hong Kong Island."
Tian Can's eyes flickered, clearly recalling something.
He had indeed met such a man while riding in a car, but Tian Can had nothing but contempt for such paltry tricks. At the time, he had thought the man's internal energy utterly unremarkable, though his methods were peculiar.
"We did meet once," Tian Can admitted. "But it was a chance encounter. How would I know where he is now?"
Li Dan nodded, unsurprised by the answer.
"If you need me to," Tian Can said, interrupting Li Dan's thoughts, "I can keep an eye out. If that old man is still here, his peculiarities should make him easy to find."
Li Dan smiled slightly. "Thank you, then."
The old man with psychic powers was Yan Zhen. Li Dan remembered that there seemed to be some sort of association for people with psychic powers, too.
Li Dan did not make things difficult for Tian Can, but he did tamper with him a little, leaving an evil spirit to watch him from the shadows.
Ordinary ghosts could do nothing against an expert like him.
