But for Jessie and the others, two Mutated Ogres were still hiding in the shadows. The most important thing was to run and call the police.
The four chose to flee together.
Li Dan fell behind midway. He had to go back and take a look; otherwise, if that Deformed Person Ogre Boss really died and could no longer be contained, it would be too much of a waste.

This one was stronger and taller.

Then he looked at the second Deformed Person beside him.
Even in the pitch-black forest, Li Dan felt completely safe. This was the importance of having underlings.

Even at only fifty percent effectiveness, it was already very good. Deformed People were merely mutants; they were not particularly powerful monsters in American Horror Story.

In his opinion, a family ought to be together, nice and whole.
Running away alone was not something a good Deformed Person should do.

Chris wore the expression of someone who had narrowly escaped death. He was just an ordinary man heading to Raleigh for work and had taken a back road, only to encounter Mutated Ogres.
That job was definitely gone now. His boss would never believe a story about Ogres.
Just as Chris was preparing to continue on, Jessie and Carly erupted into an argument.
The reason was that Li Dan had disappeared halfway through.
Jessie believed they should not leave Li Dan alone in there and should go back to find him, but Carly, who had just reunited with her boyfriend, refused to return to that place no matter what.
Scott wanted to go back and save him. Li Dan had saved his life.
Chris knew rationally that they should first get somewhere safe and call the police, but emotionally, he felt they should not just abandon Li Dan.

He had just arrived. The third Deformed Person Ogre had vanished somewhere, so he decided to return and regroup with Chris and the others first.
Chris and the others were a little foolish, but they were kind-hearted.
Li Dan put the two Deformed People into the Heart and Plum Blossom cards, then stepped out on his own.
The initial movement startled them all.
Once they saw that it was Li Dan, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Jessie rushed forward and hugged him excitedly, saying things like God had blessed him.
"All right, Jessie. I don't believe in God. Let's get out of here first."
Li Dan found Jessie's enthusiasm a little hard to handle. More importantly, they were dressed lightly in this season, and the sensation of their bodies pressed together made his mind wander. Jessie practically wanted to hang from him.
Fortunately, everyone still had their senses. After a brief reunion, they began walking out along the highway.
Their phones finally got signal when they were close to the main road.
