"Making up stories? Trying to fool me?"
Thor's voice was low and hoarse, every word forced through clenched teeth.
"Director, you should stop provoking him. We may not be good people, but do you really have a clear conscience, treating a mentally ill patient this way?"
There was a hint of helplessness and sympathy in Coulson's words. He sighed softly, and the pen in his hand came to a stop over the notepad.
"Coulson, listen to yourself. If we're not good people, then no one in the world is. Have some confidence in yourself. We're an organization that maintains peace."
"But messing with a mentally ill patient makes me feel like we're the supervillains in a comic book. Before you know it, some hero like Captain will come after us."
"I'd like to see which brave fool dares come here. I'll have him cut up into pieces."
The way the two of them played off each other filled the Asgardian Prince with anger. He remembered everything. Every last detail.
He really had been banished, then captured by a whole group of Midgardians and brought here. After the man in front of him had put a hood over his head, he'd been left in a daze for who knew how long. Only now had he finally come to his senses.
"Enough, mortals! How dare you treat the Asgardian Heir to the Throne with such disrespect? Release me at once, or you'll all be sentenced to death!"
Thor's roar made the two men stop what they were doing and turn to look at him in unison.
The man called Coulson, in particular, looked so full of pity it practically spilled from his eyes.
"Director, his condition is getting worse. He's completely immersed in his fantasies. Maybe we should just find a decent
