Battle Against Frieza

On the battleship, the instant Rhode began gathering a Kamehameha, the Staff detected his Power Level. Before he could finish speaking, the sound of the communicator being destroyed reached his ears. All that remained was his shocked, terrified muttering:

"King, that man's instantaneous Power Level exceeded twenty million!"

Not to mention the Staff aboard the ship, whose minds had gone blank with shock and fear—out in space, Frieza and his hovercraft were instantly swallowed by the Kamehameha.

The dazzling White Light illuminated the dark universe. Even the Fighters near Frieza were caught in the blast, instantly melting away within the White Light.

After firing the Kamehameha, Rhode did not continue pouring energy into it. Instead, he used Instant Transmission and vanished from where he stood, creating distance between them.

Under the Kamehameha's eruption, he had clearly sensed that Frieza had not died from his surprise attack.

Not only had Frieza survived, but his Aura had become immensely powerful—terrifyingly so!

After creating distance, Rhode looked back and saw that as the White Light faded, a sphere wrapped in surging, dense Aura appeared in his sight.

There was no doubt that the being within that sphere was Frieza!

Frieza's appearance had changed drastically. He had skipped directly from his primitive horned form past the second and third stages, transforming into his Final Form.

Frieza crossed his Hands before his chest in a Defensive Stance. Surging energy radiated from his body, and even from far away, Rhode could deeply feel the terror of that power.

Bang!

The dense Aura surrounding Frieza dispersed, revealing his Final Form.

As expected, he wasn't that easy to kill!

Seeing Frieza's Final Form, Rhode inwardly lamented his bad luck.

Though it was a pity, he was not disappointed. After giving it some thought, he roughly understood where the problem lay.

Frieza's original Power Level was as high as 120 million. That was power he inherently possessed. His 530,000 Power Level form merely restrained him and made his power easier to control; his true power had never changed.

Once he encountered danger, even if he could not perfectly control it, he could instantly release his own power. As long as Frieza wished it, raising his Power Level to the tens of millions was not difficult at all!

After all, the power of Frieza's Final Form was his true power, not a transformation-induced boost.

If not for wanting to Show Off in the original story—to crush his Opponent with absolute power and plunge him into despair—Frieza could probably have transformed directly into his Final Form whenever he wanted.

Compared to Frieza's Power Level of over a hundred million, Rhode's Power Level was only around one million. Even after stacking the Great Ape Power he had studied for a long time and could skillfully use in his Normal state, raising his Power Level to ten million, and adding the Kamehameha's boost in might, he could at most reach the twenty-to-thirty-million range.

Facing the ferocious Frieza, Rhode remained unhurried despite his failed attack and praised him with a hint of mockery.

"Frieza! With your mere Power Level in the tens of millions, do you really think you can kill Lord Frieza?!"

Rhode's words eased Frieza's expression somewhat. He sneered. "I'd like to see just how far you can go."

Before his words had even faded, Frieza vanished from where he stood. In the next instant, he appeared behind Rhode and raised his elbow in a strike.

Bang!

Though Rhode appeared calm before Frieza, he remained extremely vigilant inside. Therefore, the instant Frieza vanished, he immediately reacted.

Rhode twisted his body aside and punched at Frieza's arm, blocking the blow while launching a counterattack.

However, the punch only struck Frieza's arm and failed to go any further.

"Oh?"

Seeing Rhode block his attack and even counterattack, Frieza was somewhat surprised. Yet there was even more interest in his eyes. "There are not many Fighters like you in the entire universe!

But I only used one percent of my strength just now. How will you block what comes next?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Frieza raised his leg and drove a Knee Strike straight into Rhode's abdomen.

Even though Rhode had been on utmost alert, Frieza's blow still struck him.

Rhode felt his stomach churn, as though he were about to throw up Last Night's Meal.

However, the instant he sensed danger, he had reinforced his abdomen to its utmost limit. Thus, although he felt awful, he was not injured.

Taking a beating without fighting back was not Rhode's style. After taking Frieza's Knee Strike, he immediately responded, grabbing Frieza's leg with both Hands and flinging him away.

As Frieza flew away, Rhode's figure flashed. He appeared in Frieza's path and kicked him, sending him flying back once more.

However, although Frieza was kicked away, he merely unleashed a slight Ki Burst to stop himself. Then his figure flashed, and he appeared beside Rhode, bringing down a Whip Kick.

Whoosh!

Yet when Frieza arrived before him and launched the Whip Kick, Rhode had already vanished. He flashed to Frieza's side and punched at his face.

Bang!

Just as Rhode's fist was about to strike Frieza in the face, Frieza blocked it with even greater speed.

As he blocked Rhode's fist, Frieza immediately changed his palm into a claw and tried to seize Rhode's hand. Realizing this, Rhode vanished into thin air again.

Bang!

In the next instant, Rhode appeared behind Frieza. Just as he was about to strike Frieza's neck hard, Frieza blocked it with a backhand.

Whoosh!

After his attack failed, Rhode vanished again just as Frieza was about to counterattack.

This time, Rhode appeared below Frieza. The instant he appeared, he lashed a Whip Kick straight between Frieza's legs.

Bang!

This time, Frieza neither blocked nor dodged. Instead, he heightened his defense and allowed Rhode's attack to land. His expression did not change, as though he felt nothing at all.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

When that attack proved ineffective, Rhode immediately withdrew. Using Super Instant Transmission, his trail became elusive as he appeared all around Frieza and launched attacks from every direction.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The collision of their powers generated shockwaves, and both figures had long since vanished from sight.

"Huff..."

After that brief exchange of offense and defense, Rhode's figure flashed and came to a stop in the distance.

By now, he was drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. His gaze rested on Frieza, who looked completely relaxed. Rather than being discouraged, Rhode's expression faintly brimmed with excitement.

Sure enough, only someone as strong as Frieza can put pressure on me!

During that barrage of attacks, Rhode had pushed his power to its limit. With the Great Ape Power empowering him and Instant Transmission assisting him, his attacks had been impossible to guard against. The strength behind them had already surpassed the level of a ten-million Power Level.

Unfortunately, the gap in power between them was too great. Rhode clearly could not threaten Frieza, even if Frieza could not fully control his own strength.

"What's wrong? Not going to keep attacking?"
