Background

Wu Tian was the leader of the Nine Nether Sect when Chen Lin captured and imprisoned him. While initially seeking to escape and join the Sacred Cult, he gradually came to fear and admire Chen Lin after witnessing him instantly master the Sacred Cult's Nine Heavens Thunder Attraction. 113 114

Chen Lin later released Wu Tian to accompany him in the contest for the True Dragon Treasure Medicine. When Wu Tian's Sacred Cult Master arrived to reclaim him, Wu Tian instead expressed his wish to remain with and follow Chen Lin. 119 123

His history is tied to repeated reincarnations. Investigations revealed that he had previously been an Ancestor of both the Abyssal Remnant Hall and the Primal Demon Sect; Chen Lin ultimately deduced that Wu Tian was a wisp of the soul of the being known as Immortal, first on the Supreme Ranking. 446
