Background and History

Great Cataclysm and abandonment of Blue Star

Two centuries before the story, Blue Star underwent a biological Great Cataclysm caused by a cosmic-material mutation. Biology, technology, and humanity evolved, while contact with alien civilizations ushered in the Interstellar Great Navigation era. Much of Blue Star's population later dispersed across the Milky Way. 1

Blue Star subsequently became a semi-abandoned “Abandoned Land.” Resource depletion, severe environmental damage, and an ozone-layer breach exposed its surface population to cosmic radiation and shortened some natives' lifespans. Its ownerless status meant no planetary lord was willing to fund ecological restoration. 1 76

Galaxy Empire affiliation

The Solar System is a remote human star system within the Galaxy Empire. Solar System humans are protected by Imperial law while retaining authority over internal matters; the Empire chiefly handles communication and provides aid when requested. 171

The Galaxy Empire maintains a Solar System Office in Moonlight City on the Moon. The nearest known life-bearing world is North Bird Star. 171

A 500-year civilization-development protection period restricts Imperial forces and personnel from entering the Solar System, preserving the autonomy of its developing civilization. 182

Defense

The Martial God Hall completed a systemwide defense upgrade in ten days amid rising Demon Race threats. 360

When a Demon Wolf Race assassination squad entered the system, the upgraded network detected it near Pluto and responded with Planet Destroyer Cannon fire, orbital-cannon coverage, and spatial interference that prevented an immediate jump away. The attackers were forced to retreat. 365

In a later period, a Crape Myrtle Empire Saint King team maintained a permanent presence at Neptune Base on the edge of the Solar System. 682

Later Status

Fifty years later, Blue Star is described as a special planet within the Crape Myrtle Empire and the private territory of the Mystic Phantom Lord. Major powers—including the Ten Stars Secret Sect, Martial God Hall, Galaxy Network Company, and Universal Empire Bank—have established branches and teleportation points there. 682

Solar System citizenship has become highly prestigious: outsiders must pass extensive examinations and make contributions to the Solar System to obtain it. 682
