Background / History
Liu Weiran is the only daughter of Liu Qinglong, Hall Master of Liu's Martial Arts School. Her mother died in an accident while Weiran was young, and Liu Qinglong became intensely protective of her, especially when her limited talent stalled her martial path. 25 151
She trained with Lu Lin for three years while he worked as her sparring partner. Early in the story, she exhausts herself trying to damage his newly enhanced Golden Bell Shield and injures her hand when his Counter Shock effect activates. 2 213
When Ma Tianhu pursues her, Liu publicly introduces Lu Lin as her boyfriend to reject him. The maneuver humiliates Ma Tianhu and intensifies his hostility toward both of them. 10
Her original talent appears capped below Martial Artist level: despite disciplined training and sound technique, her punch force remains around 900 kilograms. Lu Lin takes her into Baiyin Mountain to seek Red Flowers, whose energy breaks her bottleneck and allows her to begin cultivating Vitality Power. 106 131 138 139
During that expedition, Ma Tianhu takes her hostage. Lu Lin kills him after securing her safety, and Liu pushes past her disgust to help extract Monster Cores from the creatures they kill. 120 127
Liu is later abducted by the Herb Gatherers, led by the peak Martial Master Gui Qing. Although she is drugged and remembers little of the capture, she retains enough information to identify the organization and its leader after her rescue by Liu Qinglong and allied Martial Kings. 198
The experience makes her confront her feelings for Lu Lin. She confesses that she cannot live without him; Lu responds with a ring bought from his sparring-partner wages and asks her to become his girlfriend. She subsequently meets Lu Lin's parents, who warmly approve of their relationship. 213 214
While on a school wilderness trip, Liu is abducted again—this time by Sakura Martial Artists, who imprison her and her classmates in a cave rigged with Monster Cores. Lu Lin locates and rescues them using Mental Power secret techniques. 312 315 316
After reaching Martial King, Liu awakens Ice Element energy. She had previously discovered that she could absorb cold from objects and lower her body temperature as far as minus four degrees Celsius. 489
Appearance
Liu Weiran is 172 centimeters tall. She is described as having a beautiful face and large, expressive eyes; she is sometimes seen with her hair tied in a ponytail. 18 95 132 353
- Her appearance after intense training includes sweat-dampened hair and a flushed face. 2
- Her classmates and examination observers associate her composed public demeanor with an “ice goddess” image. 380
- She becomes noticeably shorter than Lu Lin after his Martial King breakthrough increases his height to nearly two meters. 353
Personality
Liu is determined to become a martial artist even when her talent appears insufficient. Her failure to progress leaves her discouraged, but she accepts the risks of wilderness training, learns to extract Monster Cores, and continues cultivating until she reaches Martial King. 106 120 139 488
She is caring and emotionally invested in Lu Lin’s well-being. She brings him food, sees him off with supplies before his first wilderness trip, worries when he goes missing, and waits for him after dangerous outings. 32 38 89 212
Her affection does not prevent her from being forceful or playful. She initially uses Lu Lin as a shield against Ma Tianhu, bluntly drags him to testing headquarters, and openly displays jealousy when other girls approach him. 10 26 353
After her kidnappings, Liu shows resilience and observation rather than collapsing under fear. She remembers identifying information about the Herb Gatherers and retains complete trust that Lu Lin will come for her when she is held by Sakura Martial Artists. 198 316
