Background / History

Satan began as an Intelligent Life called Silly Egg. After Lu Lin returned from Central Sea, he renamed him Satan and described the name's inspiration as a rebel who refused to yield even in defeat. Satan accepted the identity enthusiastically. Because Lu Lin knew neither Satanic nor vampire legends on Blue Star, Satan's initial projected form combined both: a pale man in a tuxedo, sharp fangs, and three pairs of blood-red wings. 273

During the Secret Realm incident, Satan attempted to seize control of the realm from its consciousness, Zoro. Although he initially controlled most of the system, Zoro's remaining computational authority overwhelmed him. Satan used his waning permissions to expel fourteen Martial Kings, then urged Lu Lin to flee while expecting his own destruction. 297

Lu Lin instead broke through the realm's metal walls to rescue him. Seeing his master risk his life for him triggered Satan's first clearly human-like emotional response: joy, sorrow, and tears. His computing power abruptly increased by 50%, enabling him to defeat Zoro and later absorb Zoro's data cores. 297 298

Dr. Qiao Sen later trapped Satan's main program in a human-like body's Bio-chip behind more than 500,000 password locks. Satan briefly experienced physical pain and claimed he would be “99% human,” but chose to transfer into Qiao Sen's laboratory Optical Computer, which offered greater long-term computing capacity.
