Ye Yingluo

The ceremony was held in Eastsea Academy's enormous plaza. Only at this time each year did the Intermediate Department and Advanced Department gather in full.

Su Hao stood with Ma Tianyu and the others. Having eaten mostly Soul Beast meat over the past few years, he was among the taller new students. Since there were not yet many rules for freshmen at the start of school, he stood in the middle of the new student formation.

From where he stood, Su Hao looked around at the Intermediate and Advanced Departments. Each grade in the Intermediate Department had around a hundred students, making roughly seven or eight hundred across all six grades. The Advanced Department had far fewer people, with fewer than two hundred in total. It was said to be divided into three grades. This showed just how difficult it was to advance from the Intermediate Department to the Advanced Department. The chance was only a little over twenty percent.

Just as Su Hao was observing the other students, he suddenly heard a middle-aged voice ring out:

"Hello, students. Today is the annual Opening Ceremony. Now, let us welcome Dean Yu to speak."

Su Hao looked toward the front and saw a powerfully built middle-aged man in black casual clothes speaking there.

Then an elderly man who looked to be in his sixties stepped forward. He was of average build and rather unremarkable-looking, with graying hair, glasses, and a scholarly air. He continued:

"Hello, students. At this time every year, I feel somewhat emotional. A group of students from the Intermediate Department and Advanced Department graduate and leave the academy. But at the same time, some students advance from the Intermediate Department to the Advanced Department, and new students join us."

Hearing the old man speak, Su Hao knew that he was Dean Yu of Eastsea Academy, the dean mentioned by the middle-aged man earlier.

When she saw Su Hao and the other three approach, she said:

"Students, stand behind me for now. Once everyone is here, we'll return to the classroom."

After seeing Su Hao and the other three stand behind her, she continued calling out.

Before long, everyone from New Student Class One had arrived. The female teacher took out a roster and called the names on it. After confirming that everyone was present, she led Su Hao and the other students of New Student Class One back to the classroom.

While the female teacher was taking attendance, Su Hao counted as well. Including himself, New Student Class One had a total of fifty-two students.

Just like that, the female teacher quickly led New Student Class One into the Class One classroom. Then she spoke:

"Students, this is the Class One classroom. For now, find yourselves any seats you like. We'll change seats after we get to know each other better."

Hearing the female teacher's words, Su Hao and the other fifty-one students began choosing their seats in Class One.

Before long, they had chosen their seats, and Su Hao sat in the middle with the other three.

Seeing that everyone had finished choosing seats, the female teacher walked in, stepped onto the podium, and said with a smile:

Ye Yingluo smiled after hearing this and gestured for Su Hao to sit down.

After Su Hao's introduction, none of the others who followed had reached level twenty. Most were at level eighteen or nineteen.

After watching all fifty-two students finish their introductions, it was just time for class to end. Ye Yingluo spoke:

With that, Ye Yingluo was the first to leave the classroom. The others from Class One followed close behind, heading toward the Cafeteria.

At the invitation of the other three from his dormitory, Su Hao also left the classroom and headed for the Cafeteria.

On the way to the Cafeteria, Ma Tianyu suddenly asked:

"Boss, do you have any plans for this afternoon?"

Hearing Ma Tianyu's question, the other two immediately said that they wanted to leave the academy and have some fun, while Su Hao slowly began to speak.
