Background / History

Xiao Wu entered Nuoding Academy as the self-proclaimed boss of Dorm Seven. She defended Yu Cheng when Wang Sheng mocked his Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul, then immediately challenged Yu Cheng for his bedding under the dorm's newcomer rule. Her opening attack was a fast kick aimed at his chin. 7

At the Nuoding cafeteria, Xiao Wu openly confronted Xiao Chenyu after he insulted the Work-Study Students. Learning that Xiao Chenyu had driven another female Work-Study Student out of the academy through abuse intensified her anger; she wanted to confront him immediately despite Wang Sheng's warnings about the City Lord's influence. 8

When the conflict escalated into a brawl, Xiao Wu led the Work-Study Students and released her century-year Soul Ring. Seeing Yu Cheng suppress Xiao Chenyu, she began to suspect he had deliberately held back in their own earlier spar. 9 After Xiao Chenyu's death, she questioned why Dean Nuoding would not simply fight the City Lord, still favoring a direct solution over restraint. 12

She remained close to Tang San and Yu Cheng during their time in Nuoding City, sparring and eating with them. When Yu Cheng prepared to leave for Heaven Dou City, Xiao Wu objected to his early graduation and chose to remain where she could continue having fun rather than enroll in a high-level academy. 27 29

Later, Xiao Wu joined Tang San in traveling toward Suotuo City and Shrek Academy, partly because the route placed her close to the Star Dou Great Forest. By then, her third Soul Ring had reached two thousand years. 60 In Suotuo City, she was injured during Tang San's conflict with Dai Mubai, prompting Tang San to retaliate viciously. 68

During the Star Dou Forest expedition, the Titan Giant Ape Er Ming seized Xiao Wu. She ordered him not to harm her companions while he attacked the Soul Douluo guards. 85 Xiao Wu later returned to the group safely, but Yu Cheng and Middle-aged Yu Cheng noticed that the soul-beast aura previously detectable from her had been concealed, apparently through something provided by Er Ming. 91
