Planet Vegeta is a massive blue-and-white planet located in the North Galaxy region. It is a rare, high-level world inhabited by the Saiyans, a race renowned for their combat prowess. Because of the Saiyans' bellicose nature, most extraterrestrials give them a wide berth to avoid conflict.
However, because the Saiyans work for the Frieza Legion, carrying out the task of selling planets with an overbearing attitude, their reputation in the universe is quite poor.
For some time now, the spaceport on Planet Vegeta has been busier than usual, with spacecraft returning one after another from various planets. Due to an order issued by Frieza a few days ago, all Saiyans have returned to their home planet.
They do not know that this is the beginning of a catastrophe.
Whoosh!
On the surface of a vast ocean, choppy waves slap against one another, and the clear, blue water ripples in overlapping circles under the gentle breeze.
Suddenly, a black figure appears above the ocean; Roland has finally returned to Planet Vegeta.
He underwent thirty-eight transfers to get from Earth to Planet Vegeta. If not for the support of Senzu Beans, he never would have made it back with his battle power of 520. Even so, it took him over an hour.
Scanning the boundless, vast sea, Roland flashes forward. A white light erupts from his body, and like a bolt of lightning, he breaks through the waves and flies toward the coastline.
Because he is out in the middle of the ocean, the distant land is only a faint outline, but by using his Scouter, he can roughly determine the direction of the settlements.
Next, I need to find Sephiria and take her away from Planet Vegeta.
Thinking this to himself, Roland rapidly approaches the Saiyan settlement. His black figure streaks across the sky like lightning, and as he nears the settlement, he drops to a low-altitude flight.
Passing through several Saiyan settlements in a row, he finds that the entire Planet Vegeta is much livelier than before.
The settlements are bustling with activity. Transport vehicles, looking like small trains, carry spherical spacecraft past, and the open spaces are packed with small ships. Exhausted Saiyans reunite with their families—this is one of the few times Saiyans ever show emotion.
Returning to Sephiria's home, he finds it empty; Sephiria has not yet returned to Planet Vegeta.
He goes to the mission dispatch department and uses the identity of Sephiria's younger brother to make an inquiry, only to learn that her ship will not return to Planet Vegeta for another month.
Upon hearing this news, Roland's brows knit together. This is a bit different from his plan; he had intended to leave Planet Vegeta as soon as he found Sephiria, but that seems impossible now.
Judging by the current situation, a large number of Saiyans are still on their way back, so Frieza won't destroy Planet Vegeta just yet...
Estimating the timing of Frieza's destruction of Planet Vegeta, he realizes there is still some time left before the planet is annihilated.
Since there is still time before Sephiria returns, I'll take this opportunity to train. Every bit of improvement counts. Compared to Saiyans of his age, Roland's battle power of 520 at five years old is absolutely excellent; his talent is nearly on par with those upper-level warriors.
But it depends on who you compare him to. In the strength-filled environment of Planet Vegeta, Roland's power is nothing to brag about.
Determined to train, Roland sets up a camera in Sephiria's home to record the situation, then leaves the settlement. He finds a fractured rock zone in an empty canyon over a thousand kilometers away and takes his 50x gravity Spherical Gravity Chamber out of a Hoi-Poi Capsule.
He sets the gravity environment to 16x, adjusts the air pressure and temperature, and the machine begins to hum as the internal environment shifts abruptly.
Roland takes a deep breath and exhales slowly, a look of determination in his dark eyes, before stepping resolutely into the gravity chamber to begin his formal gravity training.
The immense pressure of 16x Earth gravity weighs down on him. Roland grits his teeth, barely able to withstand it, and begins his basic training according to the Saiyan workout patterns in his mind. The way extraterrestrials use Ki is somewhat crude compared to Earth's methods; this is a result of their environment.
Roland now intends to combine his Saiyan bloodline with more effective gravity training to boost his strength.
Inside the gravity chamber, Roland trains diligently, sweating profusely as he practices his strikes and kicks. He lunges, leaps, and punches, his hair dampened by crystal-clear sweat. As time passes, his strength seems to surge forward like a dam breaking...
The sun rises, and the horizon is tinged with a pale white.
As the morning sun gradually emerges, the gentle sunlight pierces the clouds, dyeing the white puffs in shades of cherry red, full of the luster of life.
By now, a month has passed since Roland entered the gravity chamber to train.
In outer space, Frieza's ship is docked in a fixed orbit, surrounded by many smaller ships patrolling and monitoring all movements on Planet Vegeta.
"Kikono, what is the status of the Saiyans?" Frieza asks in a slightly raspy voice, sitting in his small hover-pod, his cold eyes fixed on the space outside the ship.
The yellow-skinned alien named Kikono stands with his hands behind his back. "Most of the Saiyans have returned. Some in remote areas will need a few more days."
A cruel smile curls at the corner of Frieza's mouth. "This Seat can wait no longer. Have the legion prepare; I will destroy Planet Vegeta in five days."
"Once the Saiyans are gone, the Frieza Legion's forces will suffer a significant loss." Kikono shakes his head, though he offers no objection. Among all the old subordinates left behind by King Cold, only the other veteran, Berryblue, can ignore Frieza's terror and even get him to listen to reason.
"Ho ho ho, it was no easy task gathering these Saiyans together. This is the best opportunity to wipe out the Saiyans and destroy this planet. These Saiyans are a warrior race, after all. Now that they have submitted to me under pressure, they are surely unconvinced in their hearts. They might bite back one day, so they must be eradicated before they can take any action."
"Mr. Zarbon, please coordinate with the Yugarite communication records to hunt down those Saiyans who have not yet returned to Planet Vegeta after the planet is destroyed."
"As you command. This subordinate will not let a single one escape."
Zarbon, the green-haired alien with handsome features, replies respectfully. As he looks up, a bloodthirsty cruelty hides beneath his refined exterior.
"That puts my mind at ease." Frieza laughs heartily, nodding politely at Zarbon, his blood-red gaze fixed on the distant Planet Vegeta.
Bright stars streak past his eyes, vanishing in an instant like shooting stars...
