Intimidation

Time flew by in the blink of an eye; a week had already passed since Roland arrived on Planet Mapa.

During this period, Roland had avoided all external contact, focusing instead on earnestly improving his strength.

His grueling training yielded fruitful results. Although he had yet to grasp the essence of ki, he felt a subtle, vague change within himself—he couldn't quite put it into words, but it was a distinct sensation.

He had originally planned to hijack a spaceship from the Mapa People within these few days, but during a training session, Roland experienced the inconvenience of a Saiyan's greatest weakness: his tail. The moment he gripped it tightly, a wave of powerlessness washed over him, leaving him unable to even stand.

"A Saiyan's tail is truly a volatile factor in battle!"

Roland sighed, realizing he would have to spend more time training the appendage.

On Planet Vegeta, all adult Saiyans or those with experience would deliberately train their tails to overcome this inherent weakness. The original Roland had been too young and lacked guidance, so he had never realized this until now.

But it wasn't too late to start.

In the following days, Roland focused his training on his tail. It was an agonizing process; every time he touched it, the resulting weakness made him feel as though he might pass out. It was far more grueling than physical conditioning.

He would have preferred high-intensity weight training.

About a month after arriving on Planet Mapa, although Roland hadn't eliminated the side effects of his tail, he had managed to overcome the dizziness caused by it being grabbed. By this time, his combat power had reached 350. It was only an increase of 40 points, but on Planet Mapa, he was already considered an expert.

The greatest dangers on Planet Mapa were the ferocious beasts, with the strongest among them approaching a combat power of 500. In contrast, the individual strength of the Mapa People was much weaker; they relied on advanced technology to survive on the planet.

As long as he targeted a city on the outskirts, Roland believed no one could stop him.

With this assessment, Roland decided to head toward a city of the Mapa People.

Time to go, time to rob!

After tidying up the shelter he had occupied for over a month, Roland laughed, his small frame soaring into the air. He flew along the mountain range, hills and lakes flashing beneath his feet. Soon, he arrived before a city of a hundred thousand, surrounded by high walls.

The towering walls were covered in moss, with cracks appearing in some sections, indicating they had been built long ago.

Mounted on the high platforms of the walls were rows of dark, hollow cannons, designed to defend against beast attacks.

Although the beasts of Planet Mapa possessed immense energy, they lacked intelligence and could not utilize energy-based attacks. Consequently, aside from some avian predators, these massive cannons were sufficient to repel them.

"The defenses of this city are relatively strong, but they won't stop me."

Roland chuckled, his body slipping into the city.

Beneath him, rows of buildings crisscrossed in geometric patterns. The streets were bustling with activity. The Mapa People were short, barely over a meter tall, with pale skin. When they saw a figure suddenly streak across the sky, they stopped to stare, only to scatter in panic shortly after.

They had mistaken Roland for a rare beast.

The lively streets quickly turned desolate as everyone scrambled into sturdy shelters.

"Cowards, but that works in my favor." Chuckling, Roland flew toward the city's largest plaza, which served as a spaceport where several cargo transport ships were docked.

Clatter... Roland's presence quickly drew the attention of the garrison soldiers. They immediately hoisted their weapons, aiming their dark barrels at him.

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack! All units, take notice!"

"Woo-woo-woo..." A piercing sound echoed around the plaza, followed by the blare of urgent sirens. Soldiers stationed around the spaceport swarmed in, shouting at Roland in an attempt to scare him off.

Roland picked at his ear with a finger and blew on it; he didn't understand a single word the Mapa People were saying.

Clearing his throat, Roland tapped the energy detector on his ear, activating the voice synchronization function. A youthful, childish voice echoed across the plaza:

"You lot, hurry up and find me a spaceship capable of interstellar travel, or don't blame me for being impolite."

No reaction?

Roland sneered and raised his hand, gathering a ball of energy.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Over a hundred beams of bright light erupted, raining down from the sky. Pfft, pfft! They struck the weapons of the Mapa People, and amidst the sparks, the armaments were reduced to mangled scrap metal.

Looking at the debris and thick black smoke covering the ground, Roland nodded in satisfaction.

However, he soon realized his intimidation had failed. Instead of retreating, the Mapa People became even more agitated. Rows of soldiers were mobilized from afar, a dark mass of them appearing with various weapons, seemingly intent on resisting.

Roland raised an eyebrow, feeling a flicker of annoyance.

They really didn't know when to quit. From his perspective, as a Saiyan, he had originally come to wipe out this planet. The fact that he was kindly only taking one spaceship was already an act of mercy—had it been any other Saiyan, they wouldn't have been so lucky.

"So, you want to resist, do you?"

It seemed he needed to demonstrate even greater power.

Roland snorted, preparing to unleash a major attack.

He clenched his fist and raised it high, beginning to condense his energy. As the power surged, the air around his fist began to distort. A buzzing sound followed, and a dazzling, brilliant light flared up. Massive energy gathered in his palm, shining like a miniature sun.

"Hah!"

"Watch closely!!" With a low shout, he thrust his arm outward.

A glowing, deep-blue energy blast shot from his hand. It roared like a tiger, the terrifying sphere of energy traveling over five thousand meters in an instant before slamming into the towering mountain outside the city.

Then, before the bewildered eyes of the Mapa People, a shocking scene unfolded.

Whoosh... BOOM!

A massive shockwave surged and rolled outward like the end of the world. A violent roar echoed in all directions, and a blinding light rose into the azure sky.

The full-power strike of a 350-combat-power fighter was astonishing. Even Piccolo at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament could easily destroy an island, and Roland was far more powerful than that.

BOOM!

The earth shook violently as a massive, visible mushroom cloud surged into the heavens, carrying terrifying energy. Shockwaves of immense power swept across the horizon, and gale-force winds scoured the entire city. When the storm finally began to subside, the Mapa People discovered in horror that the towering mountain outside their city had been razed to the ground.

In an instant, the Mapa People throughout the city turned deathly pale, prostrating themselves on the ground in terror.

The sheer impact of that nuclear-like explosion was overwhelming; Roland's attack had terrified these Mapa People.
