Founding and History

Zhang Daosun crossed the starry sky to Earth Origin Star, spread immortal cultivation, and taught longevity despite damage to his own Dao. Under his guidance, Ancestor Yun Ya and the founders of the Four Great Dao Academies established Dao lineages around spiritual veins; over subsequent centuries, these institutions developed into the Immortal Sect and its Three Great Halls. 898

The Immortal Sect became the ruling cultivation power of Earth Origin Star, where hundreds of millions of humans possess Spiritual Roots and practice Qi Cultivation. Its periodic World Opening Wars are feared by outside cultivators as potential invasions of newly discovered worlds. 136

Over more than six thousand years, the Immortal Sect annihilated twenty-eight Ancient Dao Lineages. Around 3,300 years before the present, it also suppressed and killed nine grandmasters of the Divine Sect and Demon Gate. 244

Dao Heart Oaths within the system are directed toward the Immortal Sect itself, with the Three Great Hall Masters serving as its concrete representatives. Retiring from those positions after Spirit Transmutation allows a cultivator to avoid being bound by the countless karmic “lines” generated through such oaths. 807
