Chapter 202: War Omens and Departure
Meanwhile, far, far away from the Wizard Camp,
in a deep underground cavern almost at the very heart of the plane, an entirely different scene was unfolding.
This cavern was enormous. Its very existence was a geological miracle.
Deep and vast, it was perfectly divided into two regions by searing lava flows and frigid ice crystals.
Within these two regions, countless Lava Giants and Snow Monsters had gathered, their sides clearly divided like the waters of the Jing and Wei rivers.
Their sheer numbers were staggering.
More importantly, as far as the eye could see, whether they were the massive Lava Giants or the Snow Monsters clad in ice armor, not a single one was below Level 3!
So many powerful creatures gathered in such a confined area; every breath carried the oppressive presence unique to high-level elemental beings.
And beyond these monsters waiting silently within the cavern like a rising tide, beneath the ground outside the cavern and closer to the boundary line, even larger numbers of Level 2 Snow Monsters and Lava Giants lay hidden in their respective territories.
The forces of these two monster races were like twin floods poised to burst their dikes, lined up in grim readiness.
Clearly, the high-level Snow Monsters and Lava Giants that the wizards had considered "missing"—including those at Level 3, Level 4, and even higher—
had all gathered here!
This was the essence of two civilizations, all of their backbone strength!
Between the utterly opposed races of Lava Giants and Snow Monsters, along the invisible dividing line formed by red-black lava and crystalline white frost, two hulking figures faced one another from afar.
