The first thing that met their eyes was two "small mountains" that nearly touched the vault's dome!
One was piled from countless sharply faceted energy crystals, hazy radiance flowing within them.
The energy fluctuations emitted by such a quantity of energy crystals caused even the surrounding air to warp slightly.
Individually, these energy crystals might not have been peerless treasures, but they were hard currency for crossing planar barriers.
Whether used to replenish consumption, power facilities, or serve as trade currency, they were immensely valuable.
And the crystals before them were extraordinarily pure, with enormous internal energy reserves, far beyond ordinary goods.
The other small mountain was even more enticing. It consisted of countless irregularly shaped crystals, with what seemed like mist circulating within them, emitting an icy chill and allure that acted directly upon the soul.
Soul crystals!
For Wizard Civilization, which specialized in souls and spiritual power and made large-scale use of various constructed lifeforms, elemental creatures, and modified cannon fodder, soul crystals were even more outrageously valuable.
They could directly increase one's spiritual power cultivation, repair soul wounds, and were key materials for creating high-level cannon fodder, construct cores, and even certain special Wizard Artifacts.
Although Wizard Civilization had an extreme demand for soul crystals, it rarely took the initiative to manufacture them on a large scale.
Because in a wizard's values, a living creature that could continuously generate value was far more meaningful than a soul crystal condensed after its death.
Aside from planar wars like this one, where vast amounts of scattered soul power could naturally be gathered and crystallized after fierce battles, only high-level wizards who independently controlled an entire plane had stable channels for acquiring them.
A rough estimate put the value of this small mountain of soul crystals at close to one
