"Mount Magma, Rock Hammer."

Benjamin's voice entered the minds of the two Black Giant Leaders, each over two hundred meters tall, through their soul link.

"Lead your clansmen and act according to the situation." Benjamin's instructions were concise and clear. "I won't have the attention to spare for command next. Judge the battlefield yourselves and coordinate with the other Cannon Fodder Legions."

"We obey the will of the Father God." Two deep, weighty voices, like rocks grinding together, answered in Benjamin's mind at the same time.

The two leaders turned around and began directing their clans through silent mental waves.

A million Black Giants began shifting formation like precision machinery. The melee types wielded condensed obsidian battle-axes and tower shields, forming the front line. The mid-range types opened the fissures in their chests, gathering highly compressed energy breath within. The priests in the rear raised their staffs and began chanting in unison, constructing support barriers that covered the entire army: strength enhancement, speed augmentation, damage sharing, elemental resistance...

Such a well-trained Cannon Fodder Legion of astonishing rank drew surprised looks from many of the surrounding wizards.

By the time Benjamin strode into the fortress, Viola was already waiting at the entrance to the passageway.

"Impressive, junior." She looked Benjamin up and down, the approval in her eyes undisguised. "With this scale and average strength, it's a cut above the Cannon Fodder Legions of many Level 6 Wizards. Looks like you've put quite a bit of work into Biological Modification."

Benjamin smiled but said nothing.

Viola did not mind. She grabbed Benjamin by the wrist and led him through the bustling corridors to an observation window on the upper level of the fortress.

Quite a few wizards had already gathered there. Everyone held their breath and stared outside.
