Behind Fortress No. 7, roughly fifteen kilometers away, was a temporarily leveled "rest area."
Calling it a rest area was somewhat of a stretch. There were no sheltering tents, only a patch of gray-white ground barely compacted through Alchemy, along with several thousand metal recliners casually molded from the ground with Alchemy.
Benjamin sat in one of those recliners.
He held a cup of warm potion that glimmered with a pale green fluorescence.
After staring blankly at the sky for a while, Benjamin subconsciously blew on the warm Magic Potion, then took a small sip as though he were drinking tea.
[Soul Spring], a Level 3 Magic Potion. Its main purpose was to soothe souls agitated by excessive mental-force consumption and assist in restoring the Stability of the Spirit Sea.
It tasted like mint mixed with rust—not exactly pleasant, but after drinking it, a cool sensation did indeed spread through his mind.
Feeling the stabbing pain in his soul noticeably ease, Benjamin let out a long breath and leaned back into the chair.
Nearly a thousand Level 4 and Level 5 Wizards who had likewise operated the turrets sat alongside him.
Every one of them was pale and weary-eyed, mechanically drinking the recovery potions distributed to them.
Beyond the rest area, an even busier scene was unfolding.
Tens of thousands of Level 3 Wizards moved between the various fortresses like worker ants.
Most of these Wizards were Logistics Department Wizards from the Alchemy Department and Rune Department. Under the direction of high-level Wizards, they inspected the energy circuits of the Defense Arrays, repaired fortress walls damaged during battle, and reinforced the underground elemental transmission pipelines.
After a full battle, the Level 3 Wizards had suffered virtually no direct casualties.
After all, firing a turret once required the entire mental force
