Inside the treatment room, the air seemed to freeze for several seconds.
Viola's wide silver-gray eyes locked fiercely onto Benjamin.
The shock on her face swiftly transformed into a sharp gleam mixed with scrutiny, assessment, and sudden realization.
She did not ask, "Are you sure?" or "Do you have proof?" There was not even a trace of hesitant doubt.
"Ha!" She gave a short laugh, her pitch rising with a peculiar excitement. "My junior brother is fucking amazing!"
She had no need for Benjamin to provide proof of the kill—such as the Holy Son's identity badge, fragments of his exclusive Wizard Artifact, or shards of his soul imprint.
Knowing this junior brother of hers, who always managed to pull off "surprises," she knew he had no reason to lie about something like this.
"Stay right there!" Viola suddenly spun around and swept out of the treatment room like the wind, leaving only one sentence echoing in the air. "...The old man needs to know about this!"
Benjamin opened his mouth, but before he could say anything, the silver construct caretaker approached again and resumed its interrupted scan. It reported calmly, "No abnormal fluctuations in vital signs detected. No obvious stress response indicative of lying detected. Comprehensive assessment: the subject's statement has a high degree of credibility."
"Thanks, but just examine my body. No need to test whether I'm lying." Benjamin lay back down with a dark expression.
