Differences in Missions and Methods of Rule

In the study of the core laboratory on the Purgatory Sulfur Plane, Benjamin was immersed in an ocean of knowledge.

Dozens of memory crystals floated around him. Benjamin's mental power extended like countless tentacles, probing into the crystals simultaneously and greedily absorbing the knowledge contained within.

This had been his normal routine for the past year.

After the war ended, he had practically locked himself in the study.

Other than necessary rest and cultivation, he spent all his time making up for his shortcomings in knowledge.

As for progress, he had certainly made some.

But the time had been too short, and there was only so much progress he could make.

Just as he focused on calculating part of a formula, the Magic Network Terminal on his wrist suddenly vibrated.

Benjamin frowned slightly and sent a thread of mental power into the terminal. When he saw the message, he froze for a moment.

Benjamin checked the time on the terminal.

He stood there blankly for quite a while before realizing something.

A year had passed?

A whole year had gone by without him even noticing?

Benjamin set down the memory crystal in his hand, stood up, and stretched his somewhat stiff neck.

The year had passed far too quickly, so quickly that he had barely felt time flowing by.

As his level rose, his perception of time had gradually changed as well. He now
