The first phase of the Dao Soldier System was nearing completion.
Benjamin stood at the edge of the eastern plains of the Purgatory Sulfur Plane, looking at the enormous formation composed of rune pillars and energy nodes.
All one hundred and eight rune pillars had been erected. Each stood a hundred meters tall, its surface densely inscribed with runes.
Those runes flickered faintly beneath the gray-red sky, resonating with one another to form an energy network that covered the entire plain. Nearby, the Black Giant Priests waited respectfully for their ruler's inquiry.
"What's the progress on the first phase of the Dao Soldier System?"
"Ninety-three percent complete."
Benjamin nodded.
"Continue."
"Yes!"
Watching the Black Giant Priests swiftly fly down to direct the Black Giants in their work, Benjamin withdrew his gaze.
"Seven percent left... Soon."
Benjamin murmured to himself.
At most, another two or three years, and the first phase of the Dao Soldier System could officially be put into operation.
That meant the preparations could begin now.
Refining Dao Soldiers required a great many materials, most of which could be substituted with equivalents found in the Wizard World.
Minerals, elemental crystals, biological samples, refining substrates... Those were all easy enough to handle.
However, while researching the Dao Soldier System some time ago, Benjamin had suddenly discovered that there was one thing he needed to prepare in advance.

Benjamin returned to the laboratory. After sitting in meditation to calm his mind, he found the ancient library deep within his consciousness.
The Great Dao Library floated silently, seemingly forged entirely from white jade and radiating a gentle glow.
