After discussing Viola's matter, the laboratory fell silent for a moment.
Clark set the rune pen, which had already finished recording the data automatically, back on its holder. Then he turned around, his gaze settling on Benjamin.
"What are your plans next?"
Benjamin hesitated for a moment before speaking, still somewhat embarrassed.
"Actually... I rather want to follow your path, Mentor."
As he said this, Benjamin felt a little guilty. He knew perfectly well that even with the Dao-Integration state's support, he was still far too far from a genius of Clark's caliber.
Clark's expression did not change at all upon hearing this. He was neither surprised nor particularly encouraging; he merely nodded calmly. "Your special learning state is indeed well suited to following my path. Your learning efficiency is at least two orders of magnitude higher than that of Wizards at the same rank, and the breadth of your knowledge absorption far exceeds what conventional specialization paths require. From that perspective, choosing to study all laws rather than specializing in a single one is indeed more suitable for you."
But then his tone shifted.
"However, I must remind you that choosing my path will be extremely difficult. Studying all laws and specializing in one law do not consume resources and time on the same scale."
Benjamin thought for a moment, then asked, "About how long did it take you, Mentor?"
"Based on my own ability to acquire resources, during the Level 6 Wizard stage, I spent nearly a hundred thousand years gathering resources and studying." Clark's tone was calm. "Over those hundred thousand years, most of my time was not spent learning, but earning. Earning Military Merit, earning resources, earning knowledge, then investing everything I earned into the study of the next law."
