Lin Baici was very familiar with Gotō Mari's voice. As she called out "Lin Jun," a head poked through the doorway.
"Are you hurt?"
Gotō Mari held up a torch and looked Lin Baici over anxiously.
"No!"

"I came to save you!"
Gotō Mari urged, "Hurry, let's go!"
"This is too dangerous. What will happen to you?"
Lin Baici activated Master Performer, putting on a look of concern for Gotō Mari's future. But inwardly, he breathed a huge sigh of relief.
He'd been right to stay with the girl who'd made him feel hungry.

When Gotō Mari saw that Lin Baici wasn't moving, she reached for his hand.
