A Phone Call Across Time and Space!

The study was very quiet, with a thick Persian carpet covering the floor. Lin Baici made no sound as he stepped onto it.

He picked at the narrow slot with his finger.

"Could this be where you put in coins?"

Lin Baici slowly turned the crank. After three turns, a polite voice suddenly came through the phone.

"Please insert a coin to use the phone!"

Lin Baici immediately pressed for an answer.

The other party didn't answer. After repeating the sentence three times, it hung up.

Lin Baici immediately began rummaging through the room, searching for coins from this era.

He had no idea how many he would need.

Lin Baici searched the whole room and turned over every cabinet, but didn't find a single coin. With no other choice, he had to try the next room.

There wasn't a single person in sight in this old castle. Otherwise, he could have simply robbed someone.
