While flight would allow Groudon to evade certain crucial attacks when necessary and become more agile, relying on that alone to quickly suppress Kyogre would undoubtedly be difficult.
If Groudon ended up drawing with Kyogre again, wouldn't that make him, its trainer, look terrible?
"I've spent a day thinking it over. It's time to bring out the big move."
