After discovering that his counterpart had died young, Fang Yuan entered the Mewtwo Game as Red and faced the Association’s test of his strength.

• Fang Yuan won the World Expo, reunited with Venusaur, and used the Island Guardian Gods’ Z-Crystals to permanently transfer the strengths of Eevee’s evolved forms, raising it to Ordinary Guardian God Level combat power.
• After Mew told Fang Yuan that Celebi had appeared, Fang Yuan learned that Future Xie Qingyi had traveled from a timeline where Mewtwo held six hundred thousand people hostage and the World Tree had died.
• Fang Yuan brought Future Xie Qingyi to meet Mew and Victini, then agreed to accompany her to the future and received Mew’s Fighting Stone Plate for protection.
• Celebi sent Fang Yuan and Future Xie Qingyi to her timeline, where they learned that Fang Yuan’s counterpart had died at sixteen and visited his grieving family in Flat City.

Fang Yuan demonstrated his strength to the China Association, befriended the awakened God Pillars, and uncovered the surviving soul of the Pokélantis King. As the Mewtwo Game neared, he joined China’s preparations and confronted Mewtwo at Hua Blue Cave.

• Fang Yuan used Mega Gengar’s Subspace Cut and White Flame Dragon Force to defeat Jiang Kui’s Dusknoir and Yun Bu’s Dragonite, then showed the Twelve Earthly Branches his research on Mega Evolution.
• Fang Yuan and Eevee defeated President Wen’s Lucario, and Fang Yuan won Darkrai’s battle against Blastoise, gaining recognition as a High-Level Guardian God and asking to command China’s Mewtwo Game team.
• Fang Yuan trained Infernape against the lightning of the awakened Regieleki, which fled to Regidrago, and he persuaded the two God Pillars to become companions and reconsider their revenge on humanity.
• Fang Yuan found the Pokélantis King’s soul sealed in a Stone Orb, frightened and coerced him into sharing knowledge of Ancient Power, then sealed him in a stone box for further study.
• Fang Yuan helped release Regice, Regirock, and Registeel, chose not to recruit the Five God Pillar Brothers for the Mewtwo Game, and brought the Pokélantis King’s soul to Dragon Island to help Giant Dragonite study Gigantification.

Fang Yuan defeated and captured Mewtwo, then recruited it to help investigate Mew’s death and protect the world. After gathering resources and training his team, Fang Yuan helped Lycanroc complete a risky Super Ancient Gigantification ritual, leaving Lycanroc to master its new size-changing power.

• Fang Yuan used Eevee and his Pokémon’s combined strength to defeat Mewtwo, then captured it and persuaded it to become his partner.
• Fang Yuan told Mewtwo about the living Mew from another spacetime, asked it to help investigate Mew’s death, and began studying the Negative Energy near the World Tree.
• Fang Yuan and the Pokélantis King concluded that Lycanroc might use its mutated eyes and Aura to sense meteorite energy and master Super Ancient Gigantification.

Fang Yuan traveled to the Pokémon World to search for Arceus’s Plates and entered the Pokémon World Championships under a forged identity. After defeating Erika and drawing Wataru’s attention with Eevee’s strength, he left with a future Championships showdown looming.

• Fang Yuan returned to the Original Timeline with Celebi and Darkrai, reunited with Mew, and explained how he had befriended Mewtwo and brought it back.
