Ch. 1Fang Yuan

Fang Yuan woke in a world where Pokémon and Secret Realms were real and learned that his school and future were tied to becoming a Trainer. He prepared to register as a Trainer that summer and pursue his dream of becoming a Professional Trainer, while realizing that humanity still had much to learn about Pokémon.

  • Fang Yuan overslept on the day of his senior's college entrance exam and worried that he had missed his chance to cheer her on.
  • Fang Yuan read his senior's message about her Pokémon battle exam and a news report about an Aerodactyl in a Secret Realm, then realized Pokémon were real in this world.
  • Fang Yuan recovered memories of how Secret Realms, the Monster War, and the Pokémon League had reshaped human history and education.
  • Fang Yuan found that his school, family, and relationships remained the same, but Peaceful City First High School trained students to become Trainers, and he would receive a Pokémon and register that summer.
  • Fang Yuan realized that people had identified only 702 Pokémon and had not yet systematically explored their abilities, moves, or tactics.
  • Fang Yuan congratulated his senior on her exam and apologized for oversleeping as he considered his own goal of becoming a Professional Trainer.

Ch. 2Peaceful City First High School Psychological Society

After the college entrance exam, Fang Yuan visited the school’s Psychological Society and found Senior Tang Ying studying the Breeder examination materials. He rejected the Breeder path and resolved to work toward becoming a Professional Trainer, eager to obtain his first Pokémon.

  • Fang Yuan arrived at Peaceful City First High School’s Psychological Society activity room and found Senior Tang Ying there with her Persian.
  • Senior Tang Ying showed Fang Yuan the latest Breeder examination materials, and he struggled with questions whose answers were unrelated to his Pokémon-series knowledge.
  • Senior Tang Ying explained that the practical Breeder examinations were difficult and urged Fang Yuan to prepare for the battle examination.
  • Senior Tang Ying said Fang Yuan would become the club president after the other members graduated and asked him to keep the club running.
  • Fang Yuan promised to recruit new members and reaffirmed his determination to become a Professional Trainer.

Ch. 3A Trainer's Reflections

After choosing to go home instead of returning to school, Fang Yuan researched beginner Pokémon and realized his family could not afford a rare Egg. He began outlining a Grass-type training plan based on Energy Ball, ending absorbed in his first independent reflection as a Trainer.

  • Fang Yuan left school to eat, then recalled the dangers of keeping Ordinary Animals with Pokémon.
  • Fang Yuan went home and considered which Beginner Pokémon suited his family's finances.
  • Fang Yuan found that the public Breeding House offered affordable Grass-type Pokémon Eggs but no Starter Pokémon Eggs.
  • Fang Yuan decided to focus on an easy-to-raise Grass-type Pokémon with high potential.
  • Fang Yuan considered whether swallowing Energy Ball could boost strength and began planning a training routine to support the idea.

Ch. 4Going to the Breeding House

On June 24, Fang Yuan went with his parents to a public Breeding House to choose his first Pokémon Egg and become a Trainer. After meeting classmate Lin Jing on the way, he arrived at the Breeding House and prepared to look at the available eggs.

  • Fang Yuan got ready for his appointment, and his parents accompanied him because he was underage and could not afford an egg himself.
  • Fang Yuan and his parents ran into Lin Jing and her father, Uncle Lin, on the way to the Breeding House.
  • Fang Yuan guessed that Lin Jing planned to reserve a Growlithe, and the two families walked together before splitting up near the Breeding House.
  • Baishi greeted Fang Yuan's family and led them inside the public Breeding House.
  • Baishi asked what Pokémon Eggs Fang Yuan was interested in, and Mother Fang said he would choose after seeing them.

Ch. 5Looks Are Justice

Fang Yuan visited the Breeding House to choose his first Pokémon, weighing Grass-type and Bug-type options against Eevee. After learning more about Eevee’s potential, he chose its Pokémon Egg, though he kept his knowledge of its undiscovered evolutions to himself.

  • Fang Yuan asked Baishi whether the Breeding House had any Tangela Eggs, then considered other Grass-type and Bug-type Pokémon when Baishi said none were available.
  • Baishi showed Fang Yuan and his parents several Pokémon Eggs and recommended Eevee for its gentle temperament, adaptability, and possible evolution branches.
  • Fang Yuan reflected that Eevee could evolve through conditions other than Evolution Stones, but he did not explain this to his parents.
  • Father Fang offered to buy an Evolution Stone, and Fang Yuan asked Baishi to show him the Eggs from his shortlisted categories again.
  • Fang Yuan chose Eevee’s Pokémon Egg, drawn in the end by its appearance.

Ch. 6Eevee's Pokémon Egg

Fang Yuan chose Eevee and completed the procedures to register as a Trainer, then collected his Pokémon Egg from the Breeding House. He left eager to incubate it and hoped it would hatch soon.

  • Fang Yuan refused to buy an Evolution Stone, and he convinced Father Fang to decline Baishi's deposit offer by claiming Teacher Li could get one cheaper.
  • Fang Yuan and his parents obtained a Breeding Certificate, registered him as a Trainer at Pingcheng Building, and paid the required fees.
  • Fang Yuan and his parents returned to the Breeding House, where Father Fang politely turned down Baishi's Evolution Stone offer.
  • Baishi gave Fang Yuan an Instruction Manual and the Eevee Egg in a transparent Incubation Device filled with nutrient solution.
  • Fang Yuan left with his parents eager to get home and incubate the egg, which Baishi said should hatch within a week after the solution drained.

Ch. 7Scarves and Milk

Fang Yuan prepared to hatch and raise his Eevee, studying its care and buying nutritious milk and supplies. The egg began to crack open as he woke from a dream of becoming a successful Trainer.

  • Fang Yuan carried the Eevee egg to his bedroom, read its manual, and learned how to drain the incubation device and care for the egg.
  • Fang Yuan and his parents drained the nutrient solution from the incubation device, and Fang Yuan decided to keep the egg close at all times.
  • Fang Yuan received Miltank milk and tried some himself after preparing it as food for the newborn Eevee.
  • Fang Yuan spent his savings buying supplies for Eevee and dreamed of becoming a top student and a successful Trainer.
  • Fang Yuan woke to the egg glowing and slowly cracking open.

Ch. 8Hatching

Fang Yuan’s Pokémon Egg hatched, and he welcomed the newborn Eevee as his partner. After bathing, feeding, and tucking Eevee in to sleep, Fang Yuan planned its meals and looked forward to caring for it as it grew.

  • Fang Yuan watched the Pokémon Egg crack open, and Eevee hatched and bonded with him.
  • Fang Yuan rinsed Eevee with warm water and wrapped it in a Silk Scarf to keep it warm.
  • Fang Yuan showed Eevee around the room, then offered it warmed Miltank milk, which Eevee drank eagerly.
  • Fang Yuan tucked the sleepy Eevee into bed with the Silk Scarf and watched over it as it slept.
  • Fang Yuan reviewed a meal plan for Eevee’s newborn stage, noting that preparing its food had nearly drained his savings.

Ch. 9Group Chatting Makes You Happy

Fang Yuan studied for his exams and introduced his newborn Eevee to his parents and classmates. When Eevee woke up hungry, Fang Yuan prepared to feed it and planned to take it to the Pokémon Center to activate his Trainer ID and register a Poké Ball.

  • Fang Yuan reviewed his summer homework and considered how Trainer skills could be useful in many careers.
  • Fang Yuan's parents learned that Eevee had hatched after seeing his photo, and classmates in the Grade 12 Class 12 group chat celebrated the adorable Pokémon.
  • Fang Yuan told his classmates that girls could hold Eevee when school started, then discussed activating his Trainer ID and the Pokémon Encyclopedia APP.
  • Eevee woke up, rolled around in its Silk Scarf, and happily jumped into Fang Yuan's arms after he took a photo.
  • Eevee's stomach rumbled, so Fang Yuan told it to climb onto his shoulder and prepared to get it milk before taking it out for a walk.
  • Fang Yuan remembered he needed to activate his Trainer ID, buy a Poké Ball, and register Eevee's information at the Pokémon Center.

Ch. 10Poké Ball

After registering Eevee to a standard Poké Ball, Fang Yuan took it to Flat City's Public Battle Arena to watch Rookie Trainers battle. Eevee showed interest in battling, and Fang Yuan planned to make a training program for it once it was older.

  • Fang Yuan left the Pokémon Center with Eevee and lamented that Friend Balls and Luxury Balls were not available for sale.
  • Fang Yuan recalled that Friend Balls used Green Apricorns and considered seeking a trustworthy partner to help him make specialized Poké Balls.
  • Fang Yuan took Eevee for a walk to Flat City's Public Battle Arena, where Trainers could watch official battles under strict regulations.
  • After a Bellsprout defeated a Nidoran♂, Eevee reacted happily and admitted it was interested in battling.
  • Fang Yuan promised to design Eevee a special training plan when it grew bigger and continued watching the battles.

Ch. 11Interest Cultivation Plan

Fang Yuan tried to spark Eevee’s interest in battling by watching Pokémon films and planned to begin training after Eevee entered its growth stage. He arranged a seaside trip with Senior Tang Ying’s Psychology Club and received his father’s permission and travel money.

  • After seeing Eevee’s curiosity about battles, Fang Yuan decided to cultivate its interest before starting training.
  • Fang Yuan spent the next day watching adventure films and Pokémon League battles with Eevee, which became captivated by the exciting fights.
  • Senior Tang Ying invited Fang Yuan to join the Psychology Club’s trip to the West Coast Resort on the first, and Fang Yuan accepted.
  • Fang Yuan decided to begin Eevee’s training after the trip, when it entered its growth stage, rather than wait for school training.
  • Fang Yuan told his father about the trip, and Father Fang agreed and gave him money for the expenses.

Ch. 12Pokémon Master

Fang Yuan and the Psychology Society traveled from Pingcheng to Magic City, while he researched the city’s long-standing Trainer dojos during the train ride. He left curious about their methods and imagining that he might become a Pokémon Master someday.

  • Fang Yuan woke Eevee, took its cherished Silk Scarf to carry, and prepared to leave for Magic City with the Psychology Society.
  • Fang Yuan joined Lu Jie, Meng Zicheng, Du Ai, and Tang Ying, and the five boarded a maglev train bound for West Coast Resort.
  • Fang Yuan put Eevee in its Poké Ball for the journey and scrolled through his phone after deciding that watching a movie alone would be boring.
  • Fang Yuan read about the history of dojos and learned that Magic City had several that had survived to the present day.
  • Fang Yuan wondered how effective the dojos’ teachings were and decided that the title Pokémon Master sounded appealing.

Ch. 13Building Sandcastles

At the beach, Eevee became determined to build a sandcastle that could rival a Sandshrew’s, and Fang Yuan stayed to encourage it. After spending hours rebuilding its castle the next morning, Eevee saw the girl and Sandshrew return.

  • Fang Yuan and Eevee arrived at the beach, where Eevee began building a sandcastle after seeing another Pokémon do so.
  • Eevee demolished its first castle after comparing it with the Sandshrew’s grand palace and started rebuilding.
  • The Psychology Club members joined in a sandcastle competition, where Eevee placed third among them and fourth overall.
  • Fang Yuan promised to return with Eevee the next day, and Eevee woke early to hold him to it.
  • Eevee spent hours rebuilding and improving its castle before Fang Yuan spotted the girl and Sandshrew from the previous day.

Ch. 14Sand Attack

Fang Yuan and Eevee spent the day building sandcastles, and Eevee unexpectedly learned Sand Attack while watching Fang Yuan carve one. They used the move to improve their work and rebuilt a sandcastle that rivaled Sandshrew’s palace.

  • Eevee struggled to match the sand palace built by Sandshrew and its Trainer, so Fang Yuan promised they could return to building after eating.
  • After Sandshrew and the girl left, Eevee continued refining its sandcastle while Fang Yuan photographed and carved its best creation.
  • Watching Fang Yuan work, Eevee sensed the sand resonate with its body and instinctively swept it aside with Sand Attack.
  • Fang Yuan recognized that Eevee had learned Sand Attack and encouraged it to use the move to build another sandcastle.
  • Eevee used its new awareness of the sand’s moisture to help build a structure rivaling Sandshrew’s palace, then it and Fang Yuan started over to improve it.

Ch. 15Little Phoenix King Cup

After a day at the beach, Fang Yuan and Eevee heard about the Little Phoenix King Cup and decided to prepare for the tournament after spotting a Soothing Bell among the prizes. The chapter left them with a new training goal and the Psychology Club ready to help.

  • Fang Yuan and Eevee returned from the beach exhausted after Eevee used Sand Attack to control the sand and build a sandcastle.
  • Lu Jie invited Fang Yuan and Eevee to play cards, and Fang Yuan told Lu Jie, Tang Ying, Meng Zicheng, and Du Ai how Eevee had learned Sand Attack.
  • Tang Ying showed Fang Yuan a poster for the Little Phoenix King Cup, a Magic City rookie tournament scheduled for mid-August.
  • Fang Yuan saw that the champion would receive a Soothing Bell, cash, and a Dawn Group Membership Card, and decided he wanted to compete.
  • Fang Yuan and Eevee agreed to train for the tournament, and Lu Jie offered to help Fang Yuan plan Eevee's training.

Ch. 16Breeding Notes

Fang Yuan and Eevee returned to Flat City after entering the Little Phoenix King Cup, and Fang Yuan began organizing a comprehensive training plan for the competition. He considered a special training location that could improve Eevee’s basic qualities and help it learn moves, but was unsure whether he could still gain access.

  • Fang Yuan and Eevee spent the rest of their four-day trip in Magic City before returning to Flat City with the Psychology Club members.
  • Fang Yuan and Eevee arrived home, and Fang Yuan started organizing the training notes he had prepared for the Little Phoenix King Cup.
  • Fang Yuan identified stamina, strength, speed, explosive power, and coordination as key basic qualities, alongside mastery of moves.
  • Fang Yuan considered taking Eevee to a special training location that could improve its basic qualities and help it comprehend moves.

Ch. 17The Dense Forest

Fang Yuan brought Eevee to Nanwu Town and began training it in Black Forest, using the tightly packed trees to build its physical abilities and control its speed. Eevee struggled to run through the obstacles, and Fang Yuan prepared to run alongside it as training continued.

  • Fang Yuan told Father Fang and Mother Fang he planned to return to Nanwu Town, then arranged the move with his grandparents.
  • Fang Yuan and Eevee traveled by bus to Nanwu Town and settled into his grandparents’ old house.
  • Fang Yuan took Eevee to Black Forest, which he had scouted as a quiet training ground.
  • Fang Yuan started the Tree Stump Training Method, asking Eevee to sprint back and forth through the dense trees.
  • Eevee slowed down to avoid collisions and took more than two minutes to complete the four-hundred-meter course.
  • Fang Yuan told Eevee to rest briefly and said he would run alongside it during the next attempt.

Ch. 18Anticipation

Fang Yuan pushed Eevee through stamina training for the Little Phoenix King Cup, despite the difficulty and expense. After realizing Eevee’s Anticipation Ability made it instinctively recoil from danger, he planned to use training to help it overcome the Ability’s drawbacks.

  • Fang Yuan and Eevee completed a hundred runs on their first training day, then rested and recovered with an Oran Berry, milk, and sleep.
  • Fang Yuan reviewed the results and decided to increase the training intensity, while worrying that training costs were consuming most of their savings.
  • Eevee resisted repeating the exhausting routine but agreed to continue after Fang Yuan reminded it of its promise to enter the Little Phoenix King Cup.
  • Fang Yuan instructed Eevee to use Tackle for an initial burst of speed and keep moving until it reached an obstacle, and Eevee crashed into a tree and scraped itself.
  • Fang Yuan treated Eevee with Potion and recognized that its unmastered Anticipation Ability made it instinctively fear approaching danger.
  • Fang Yuan planned to help Eevee overcome that drawback through obstacle training, eventually having it repeat the exercise blindfolded and rely on Anticipation.

Ch. 19Change

Fang Yuan pushed Eevee through demanding sprint training, teaching it that they were partners who had to work together. Eevee failed its morning goal but broke 100 seconds that afternoon, then recovered from its injuries at the Pokémon Center.

  • Fang Yuan set Eevee a stricter sprint goal, but it failed to finish the round trip within 110 seconds and received no dramas that day.
  • Fang Yuan gave Eevee lunch and an Oran Berry, explaining that he would skip his own meal as they trained together as partners.
  • Eevee trained more seriously in the afternoon and broke 100 seconds, though its injuries required treatment beyond Potion.
  • Fang Yuan took Eevee to the Pokémon Center in Nanwu Town, where a nurse confirmed it had recovered and returned its Poké Ball.

Ch. 20New Move

Fang Yuan trained Eevee to master Quick Attack through repeated high-speed Tackle sprints in the forest. After Eevee learned the move, Fang Yuan rewarded it with two hours of phone time and ended training for the day.

  • On the fourth day, Eevee trained harder and raced through the forest with greater confidence, motivated by its desire to watch shows and spare Fang Yuan from going hungry.
  • On the fifth day, Fang Yuan explained Quick Attack and had Eevee repeatedly use Tackle to sprint through the dense forest without stopping.
  • Eevee struggled to control its bursts of speed, crashed into trees, and alternated the exhausting training with rest and physical conditioning.
  • After several more days, Eevee improved its energy control, stamina, and Tackle, then successfully learned Quick Attack.
  • Fang Yuan let Eevee use its phone for two hours and called off training for the day, thinking they might compete in the Little Phoenix King Cup.
