Background / History

GL was formed after Jiang Yang’s Katowice success. He invited snax and pasha; snax brought in Byali, while siuhy and IM filled the remaining in-game roles. Jiang Yang was positioned as the team’s sniper/rifler and pasha as coach 136.

The roster quickly developed around Jiang Yang’s extraordinary individual impact, but its structure was not solely dependent on him. Observers noted that even when other players were out of form, GL’s positioning and overall framework remained sound 170. The later active lineup included young, siuhy, IM, snax, and ultimate 140.

GL’s early EPL Season 15 run included wins over COL, Liquid, and Black Panther. The team reached the semifinals, where Faze eliminated them 2–1; the loss exposed GL’s map-pool issues and remaining gap against elite opposition 152 161 168 170.

Following an intensive “Youth Cultivation Challenge,” GL’s coordination and marksmanship improved sharply. The training regimen was exhausting, but the players credited it with strengthening their direct confrontations and in-game decision-making 172 177 187.

GL later defeated Mouz to qualify directly for the Major Legends Stage, then won the Antwerp Major against Faze. The team subsequently captured the BLAST Spring Finals 187 245 302.

GL’s ceiling is driven by Jiang Yang’s ability to break rounds open through sniper-rifle and rifle plays. His performances can force opponents to alter their setups and devote resources to containing him 152 162 262.

• Jiang Yang is not limited to the AWP; pasha specifically encourages him to use his elite rifle ability instead of pursuing a pure-sniper identity 150.

Intensive Training

GL adopted an extreme training routine under pasha, ash, and Jiang Yang’s influence.

• The team’s “Youth Cultivation Challenge” required accumulating 5,000 Youth Points within one month to improve synergy 172.
• The resulting workload improved team synergy, marksmanship, and decision-making, though it left members severely fatigued 177 187.
