Fang Mo was scouring the region, wiping out Mutant Beasts, while Silad remained in Galaxy City.
For three straight days, they had been stuck in the guesthouse, unable to go anywhere.
Guards stood watch outside the guesthouse. There was no way out.
"What is this supposed to mean? They won't show their faces, won't let us see Leiya, and won't let us leave. Are they trying to put us under house arrest?" Sword King Flash Thunder asked anxiously.
Truth be told, he was a little frightened. He had not really wanted to come, but he could not refuse an assignment from the governor.
Here in Galaxy City, they were practically sheep walking into a tiger's jaws, with no guarantee of their safety.
Silad stood at the window, watching the starships constantly flying over Galaxy City. "Have you noticed?" he asked calmly. "There are close to a hundred starship takeoffs and landings every day. Traffic seems heavier today. It isn't even evening yet, and there have already been over a hundred!"
Flash Thunder looked at Silad and said urgently:
"You still have the leisure to watch those things? Aren't you afraid they intend to imprison us?"
Silad said mildly:
"What is there to worry about? Whatever else it may be, the Tianli Sect is the foremost sect in the Tianli Sword Domain, the leader of all sects. They won't do anything so beneath them. They're merely leaving us out in the cold to put some pressure on us and make the negotiations easier later!"
Flash Thunder said helplessly:
"I know that, of course. It's just frustrating being trapped here, unable to do anything!"
