Hermione had just raised her wand, hesitating over whether to cast a Jinx at Snape, when a voice suddenly rang out behind them.
"Leave this place! Now!"
A flash of red accompanied the shout. This time, Snape failed to casually deflect the spell. Instead, he flung out a chain of magic resembling lightning. It collided with the red light, the two forces grinding against each other before finally shattering at the same time.
"Sirius!" Harry's voice was filled with delight.
He felt that today was simply too crazy. One unexpected event after another had left him dazed.
First came Draco's miraculous arrival, and now his godfather had suddenly appeared as well.
"This isn't something you can handle!" Sirius's expression was extremely solemn. "Fawkes will take you away!"
As if responding to his words, Phoenix Fawkes flew over, beating his wings. His two claws seized Fred and George by the shoulders.
Flames surged upward. Before the two could react, Fawkes carried them away and disappeared.
Sirius advanced toward Snape. Their spells repeatedly collided, and neither managed to gain the upper hand.
Snape was using Harry's wand, which put him at a natural disadvantage.
"Stupefy!"
Hermione did not remain idle either. She fired spells at the other three Death Eaters in rapid succession.
Without wands, even three adult wizards were still extremely vulnerable. They had not reached the level where they could use Wandless Magic.
Hermione knew many spells, but she did not know any Killing Curse. Aside from the spells she had learned in class, most of the magic she knew had been taught to her by Vaughn.
She had once asked Vaughn why he would not teach her some more lethal Jinxes. Vaughn's answer had been that he did not want his girlfriend to come into contact with slaughter and
